✈️ AG AVIATION WORD OF THE WEEK: FIRE RETARDANT 🔥
When bushfires hit, aircraft play a critical role from above.
Fire retardant is dropped ahead of the fire to slow its spread, coat vegetation, and give ground crews time to contain it.
It’s not about putting the fire out — it’s about controlling it.
The new “pink paint job” we’re wearing isn’t on purpose — it’s actually fire retardant used while assisting the NSW Rural Fire Service to help control and contain fires.
Precision flying, accurate drops, and timing all come together to support crews on the ground.
