Moree’s climate and soils have caused it to be referred to as the richest agricultural shire, with a vast variety of agricultural products produced from the valley. Moree is best known for it’s dryland crops of wheat, barley and sorghum and irrigated cotton which, when combined, generate a huge income for the Shire’s economy. Due to the first class soil types and unique climate, a crop can be sown basically at any time of the year allowing enormous diversity for our economy. The most important developments at present are the completion of the Moree Bypass for the Newell Highway and the development of the inland rail link, which will both help the town grow. Currently Moree has a population of approximately 10,000, a Shire population of approximately 15,364 and covers an area of 17,582 square kilometres. Our company is rural based however, we also have a strong presence in the in town market and now have by far the largest number of staff. Our business grows continually. Moree Real Estate is unique in many aspects as we are strong in all fields, whether it be town sales and rentals, valuations, or rural sales and leasing. We definitely have a high presence in each field. The strongest aspect of our ever increasing business is in the sale, leasing and valuation of both dryland and irrigation properties, which the Principle of Moree Real Estate, Paul Kelly, focus on.
