After discussing with a few operators we have decided to have a bowls afternoon here at the Moree RSL club this Friday to celebrate international crop duster day ! Start time is around 12.00 with a bit of lunch then bowls from then on , bring all your crew, mixes, office staff and engineers ! It’s a great afternoon to all get together to celebrate the great industry we are all involved in ! Please spread the word !

Labby and Briggsy spent the last few days up in Lae Papua New Guinea carrying out a 100 hourly on Cessna 188 VH-NAB, this machine is used in the Ramu valley taking care of sugar cane and is operated by Liddle Aerial Spraying . NAB is a little unique as it is fitted with the 400 horsepower Lycoming IO-720 engine. Thanks to the guys and girls at North Coast Aviation for the use of the hangar and facility’s . We see some interesting and nice places and Lae fits into both these categories nicely ! 😊

As most of you know by now Airtractor has purchased Thrush Aircraft , initially like all of you it was a shock and a move none of us saw coming . I received a lots of phone calls yesterday with people’s concerns and opinions, I would just like to put it out there that Statewide Aviation is embracing the changes and we are here to continue the support, sales and maintenance of this great product. Statewide Aviation is still the Thrush dealer for Australia and we will continue to work with Airtractor to support the thrush product range . Greetings to all from 300 Old Pretoria Rd, Albany Ga (aka Thrush Aircraft ). I am Kevin Pierce, VP of Sales Support and Services at Thrush and have been with the company for almost 18 years.

As you can imagine, we have had a lot of comments and questions about today's exciting news. Yes, Air Tractor has purchased Thrush Aircraft. Yes, we are keeping our jobs and continuing to build, deliver and support new Thrush Aircraft to customers around the globe and yes, we are expecting this to be a good thing for the industry, the employees of both companies and all of our current and future Thrush operators.

As always, our Dealer Network, Service Centers and our Factory support team and myself, will be here to continue taking care of each and every one of you and we appreciate your enthusiasm, your continued support and trust in our product and people.

Bit going on in the hangar today, variety of white and Yellow getting worked on, we also flew the P2+ today to check all the systems were working correctly ! Thanks Richard for flying it for us !

We just unpacked and assembled this beautiful S2R-T34 Thrush that just arrived in from Canada ! VH-A25 belongs to Mitch Krzysztan from Peace River Alberta. We carried out a COA , fitted a new Tabula GPS system , did some test flying and yesterday it headed North ! Thanks Mitch for letting us put this machine on the Australian register for you !😊

We have a new kid on the block ,Brand new Thrush P2+ , VH-8SW a PT6-140 powered thrush getting some engine runs after the COA, this machine is fully set up for spraying and dry work, has the 4 blade prop, aircon, Trac map with flow control, new stainless leading edge skins, dual seat , electric fan brake , smoker , 29000 hour spar caps, new GCU charging system and filtered air ! From next week this machine will be looking for a new home ! Please get in contact with us if you are interested in having a look at this awesome machine .! ✈️

With this summer heat comes bushfires which means fire fighting aircraft are out and about, last night we did a 150 inspection on Fire Boss VH-AKZ , flown by Adam the machine arrived in the evening and the guys from the shop went to work ! The aircraft is owned and operated by Andrew Kennedy in Gunnedah! Thanks to the crew for another outstanding effort!😊

We had our Christmas Party for our staff on Friday night, the guys and girls from Statewide deserved to be recognised for the hard work they have put in ! A fun time was had by all , Just want to put out a big thank you to all the crew for an amazing effort over the last 12 months, everyone has kept their heads high since our fire in the East hangar last year and have gone above and beyond to keep all the aircraft in the air safely . Just want to wish our customers a Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year !
