Brisbane Plumbing and Gas

14/10/2026

We’ve got a little favour to ask. 💙

Brisbane Plumbing & Gas is becoming Octoplus Plumbing and Gas - Billy still runs the business but now he's got both his sons working with him, a new name and a much bigger vision for delivering professional plumbing services.

If you’ve followed us here, used us before or supported our little family business over the years, we’d love your continued support.

👉 Follow our new OctoPlus page
👉 And if we’ve done work for you before, we’d be incredibly grateful if you shared an honest review or recommendation there too.

As a thank you for helping us get our new page off the ground, we’re giving one member of our community a $100 coffee card for their favourite local café (we have shared some of our favourites in the comments if you are looking for inspiration).

To enter, simply follow the new OctoPlus page and reply DONE (along with the name of your fav cafe).

And if you choose to leave us a Facebook review as well - thank you in advance.

Those reviews mean so much to a local family-run business like ours.

What did you do this weekend?! We were on the tools a bit and in the office a bit working on our rebrand coming soon. Loads of work but so exciting too.

Huge thanks to Bananas Creative for the concept, the visual identity and some cool ideas about how to bring th brand to life too.

We are busier than ever and looking to hire a Trades Assistant to join the team.

All we do is residential plumbing and gas work for familes.

And our mission is to deliver such a surprisingly delightful experience that customers never call another plumber again.

This is a casual role with full time hours to start but will become a permanent full-time role if you are the right fit and enjoy working here.

$35-$45 p hr depending on experience + performance based bonus available.

The ideal person will be:

✅ Looking for a long-term position where they will be respected and taught new skills
✅ Have a current QLD drivers license
✅ Have some experience working in trade services or generally great with tools and people (very rare we know)
✅ Live locally or within a reasonable distance to travel to our office in Morningside each day
✅ Available to work shifts that start and finish between 630am and 4pm Monday to Friday
✅ Physically fit and healthy as you will need to help our technicians with liftng and carrying heavy items

We’re a family business and we invest a lot of time and effort to take care of each of our employees so they feel like this is the best job they’ve ever had.

If this sounds like a great role for you please email [email protected] with

1. A bit about you
2. Why this role feels like a fit for you
3. What you’re looking for from your next role
