We have started to prep our top level at the Market Garden site for next year where a further 24 garden beds will be planted with a mixed crop.

To prepare for this we have decided to use a process called solarisation, which cooks the w**d seeds and kills all w**ds/grasses under the blanket over summer. Allowing us to get to work without the need for any chemicals on site.

The market garden is humming at the moment, spring has taken all of our newly planted plants to life and the bees are absolutely loving it.

Excited to see more of these little guys as we expand our hive and honey making capabilities over the coming weeks.

Regenerating the soil in our production garden has been no easy task, just ask Nathan from Hybrid AG who we called in to help us understand our topsoil's basic composition. When his probe snapped during testing, it was a clear red flag - our soil was low in potassium, which is not ideal when you're a farm trying to grow plants 🤣🤔

We've since managed to balance the soil's micro and macronutrients thanks to a custom dry potassium blend Nathan made us. The show goes on!

A milestone moment we’ve been waiting to share!

We have officially started planting our production garden (stage 1 of the Kitchen Farm project)! With the help of the Newenham team during a collaborative working bee, we planted the first three tiers of native, vegetable and perennial beds!

3 + years of hard work and planning, along with a challenging 6 months of soil rejuvenation, has bought us to this incredible milestone! But of course, now the real work begins 💪

We can’t wait to watch this produce garden grow and have it available at .
