Well, what a whirlwind the last two weeks have been!

My biggest highlight was receiving an Honourable Mention for the AusMumpreneur - 𝙑𝘼 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 🤩 Waking up each day and absolutely loving the work that I do and the people that I get to work with, is so rewarding in itself. This recognition reaffirms that my efforts are making a meaningful impact, and I am truly honoured by this acknowledgment.

Our industry is truly remarkable, and the network we’ve built is exceptional. Congratulations to the incredible women I had the honour of standing with - well done! Hold those trophies high and celebrate your achievements!

To , a huge thank you. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible. You have created a network that goes from strength to strength, showcasing women in business. Women who are taking hold of their future and making a difference – something that many only wish they’d started sooner. Today, of all days, to receive this in the mail!

12 months ago, at the AusMumpreneur conference, we wrote a letter to our future self.

Reading this today, coupled with having my judging panel interview this morning for , it’s been quite the day 🥰

I received a text message late last week, that I initially thought was spam. After further investigation I found out that it was a genuine message. It's an important message. A message with so much meaning.

I have been nominated for the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 🙌

But this is what got me.

I don’t feel like I'm changing the world.

I’m not curing a disease.

I’m not saving the planet.

Then I thought further...

Whilst I don’t feel like I'm changing the world, maybe just maybe, I’m changing SOMEONE's world.

Making someone's life that little bit easier, by alleviating the pressure.

Changing someone’s world by giving them back their time, precious time they could be spending with their family.

Changing someone’s world by easing the burden and removing their need to do ALL the things. So that they can focus on growing their own business and dreaming bigger.

I don’t know who the amazing person is who nominated me.

But I thank you 🙏

Thank you for reminding me of the impact that I am having.

I absolutely love the work I do to support especially small businesses (and particularly women in business), but so proud to know that I am making an impact and making a difference.

As a Mum of 2 young boys, I definitely didn’t expect this note to be on my bench-top this morning!!!

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there. Keep doing what you love & keep cheering each other on 🙌🥰

This week marked the first ‘normal’ week of the year🙌

And let’s be honest, I quite like routine - it keeps us on track. School is back, sports start up again, and the house has a greater sense of calm. On that note, Happy New Year!

So what did the school holidays teach me this time round?

* Whilst I worked for the most part, intentionally blocking out time to switch off & enjoy my little people (whilst they still want to be around me😬) was great! Sometimes we really do need to stop & smell the roses.

* Self care & guilt don’t go hand in hand - we all deserve some ‘me’ time

* It doesn’t have to be a one-woman show - it’s okay to reach out for support. In fact, outsourcing is actually a game changer.

Bring on 2024 🥳🙌 I’m excited for the opportunities that await!

Competition or community?

When you think about others who work in the same industry as you, do you view them as competitors? Or are they part of your network and community?

Attending the recent Conference & Awards night, was a perfect example of what community is. And boy did we have fun together!🙌

Sure, we each run our own VA business. And whilst there are some similarities, on the whole, we actually provide quite different services.

We’re all unique in our own special way & we all have our own amazing personalities.

I was so proud to attend with these ladies, my colleagues, part of my community. Proud to not only represent the VA industry, but particularly showing up & representing the strong VA industry that Victoria has.

Community over competition, every day!🙌

Never underestimate the impact of a powerful network, a powerful community.

Together, we unite, we’re a strong community, and there’s room for us all to shine! 🤩🥰

So excited to be attending the amazing AusMumpreneur events over the next few days!

The opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, as well meet lots of new ones along the way. It’s going to be jam packed full of fun, growth & connection. How could I resist!
