🌐Research shows that most leaders spend around 80% of their time talking about problems, but I wonder if they’re having these conversations in the right rooms with the right people?

🔥As leaders, we need to stop avoiding the dysfunctions, face the uncomfortable truth that they are a natural part of human dynamics, and invest the courage, effort, and commitment to creating safe spaces to have the conversations that will address them.

When we do, we expand and elevate:
⚡️capacity
⚡️capability
⚡️progress and
⚡️performance.

So if you’re ready and willing to 'Go There', I'd love to discuss how I could help.

⚡️The test of antifragility suggests that anything that experiences more downsides than upsides from random events is fragile, and anything that experiences more upsides than downsides from random events is antifragile.

In a team context, this means that if a team gains more from disruption, challenge and change than it loses, it is antifragile.

🔥To get there, though, involves taking intelligent risks, experimenting to learn forward, and seeking collective wisdom.

And there is one super-nutrient that supports all of these with leaders and teams:

🤝Collaboration invites us to acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers. That we have a better chance of success if, rather than taking control to facilitate a move to action, we work from a space of ‘not knowing’ whilst intentionally seeking the experience, knowledge & wisdom of others.

I’ve found holding these three questions helps me have the right orientation towards collaboration & creates it with others too:
1️⃣ What is the most valuable contribution I can make at this time?
2️⃣ Are the expectations of myself & others clear, clean, & realistic?
3️⃣ How can I be deeply committed & completely unattached in this process?

☄️The uncomfortable truth that I’ve come to accept is that whilst collaborating may at times feel like it slows me down, I know that the result is better, for me & the outcomes we want to achieve, together.

How many 🆕 leadership skills or tools have you read about this week?

🔅Well there’s 1️⃣ strategic tool that’s always in your toolkit, but I wonder if you’re using it to it’s full power?

Lets find out...

🫶Love. A simple four-letter word for a force that can inspire a whole spectrum of emotions: joy, passion, courage, rage, delight, despair and more.

The problem is we are uncomfortable using the word love at work for fear of being judged, misunderstood or perceived as weak. But whilst comfort with language is a barrier, it is the way love is gendered in workplaces that is most problematic.

Researchers have found that when leaders create an emotional culture of genuine care for their people 💫or what is called companionate love💫 workers’ levels of engagement, performance and wellbeing all improve significantly, especially during times of uncertainty.

☄️If you want to explore the transformative power of love in the workplace and its impact on employee engagement, performance and wellbeing. Start by taking this short survey: https://surveys.drpaige.au/theleadersecosystemsurvey/

Dr Paige believes leadership is the most potent leverage point in any system – team, family or workplace – to create positive change.

Her purpose is bold: for your audience to come away with the confidence, clarity and commitment to be the exceptional leaders she knows is possible, and that your organisation, and the world needs them to be.

☄️So rather than get caught up in a battle of or over words, why not let your actions speak for you?

Here are 4️⃣ ways to do Love at Work, without it getting weird.

You can read the details on CEOWORLD Magazine: https://ceoworld.biz/2024/05/15/why-love-is-your-number-one-leadership-strategy-in-the-workplace-and-how-to-do-it-without-getting-weird/

Rather than doing leadership ‘to’ or ‘for’ people, we partner with them.

Partnering creates interdependence. It asks us to let go of a win–lose mindset & start striving instead for mutual connection & cocreation; it means working independently, together.

And while it sounds simple, this is no small task. Because as we do this, we shift from leading from a basis of power to inviting others to partner with us from a place of:
☄️mutual respect,
☄️responsibility &
☄️connection,
and this is what creates the context for high performance.

We need 💫authentic engagement, 💫creative innovation, 💫willing contribution & 💫diverse perspectives for people, teams & organisations to thrive.

To build organisations where more people feel ready, willing & able to lead, we need the power of partnering.
