DR GOSNELL OFTEN GETS ASKED WHAT HIS FAMILY DOES.....

Hi, I'm Rachelle — Martin's wife — I'm the Director of Quantitative Pty Ltd which is a full time job in itself but alongside everything else going on in this household, I run an online designer dog clothing and accessories store called "Hendricks and Maple", (HendricksandMaple) named after two of our four labradoodles. Martin wanted to share a little about what I do, and I can't think of a better way to introduce myself than with these four.

Meet the reason I do what I do — well, four of them anyway. This is Hendricks, Maple, Olive, and little Hazelnut, and yes, they are as chaotic and wonderful as they look. Hendricks and Maple is named after two of them — Hendricks with his extraordinary rare blue merle coat, and Maple, our golden girl. Maple and Hendricks had a baby — Hazelnut, a rare choc merle straight coat who arrived and immediately ran the household. Olive is Maple's sister, from the same litter — but you'd never guess it. They are completely different looking dogs with completely different temperaments and personalities, which honestly just makes life more interesting. I started Hendricks and Maple because I couldn't find designer dog clothing that was beautiful, well-made, and actually worth buying — so I built a store full of things I would want for my own dogs. I make some of it myself, I get others to make things, I design most of it, and I curate some special items from all over the world.

It allows me to be creative, I still get to do photography and design, and get to meet the cutest little customers and their humans.

Its hard to believe its been about 10 years that ive been working with this extraordinary fellow. Professor Rowe (Head of Neurology at Macquarie Hospital) is an extraordinary and careing person, responsible for over 1000 motor neuron and parkinson disease patients, and a distinguished world leader in the field. Today it was a privledge to visit his spledid facilites and discuss progression of our patented technology. Professor Rowe and I are co-inventors of a world first immune cell based, hyperspectral microscopy system for neurodegenrative disease assessment and therapeutic guidance.

Im privileged to be engineering our state of the art clinical technology platform with Prof Rowe and his world class team.

SBS Documentary featuring my work. If you skip through to 55 minutes you will see a section featuring a lot of the hyperspectral images we created, and the Hyperspectral instrument I built for UA, some of the images were taken on the MQ and UNSW systems we built.
