We’re very excited to advise Stage 1 of the approvals has been reached, with BSC approving the Development application for the proposed OSHC centre at 1 Marshall Street Moura. (Before and after school care for school age children.)

Stage 2 are the building approvals and design completion, hopefully we will have them submitted to BSC by mid Feb 2023. This will also include the quoting process for the construction of the building and securing a builder for the project. Would be nice to see construction start mid-2023.

Stage 3 is the fitout of the OSHC centre and gain approval to operate from The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority. The centre is designed to cater for 50 school age children.

This project is a long term investment in the Moura Community with the building being a permanent structure and having a multi-use capacity.

Yarraboldy Care Services Pty Ltd is the registered Provider that will be operating the centre, with staff being sourced locally and trained. That’s the plan, anyway, lets see what 2023 brings.

More action today at the Marshal Street development site, with the big gum tree being felled for safety reasons by the Yarraboldy crew.

The remaining trees need to be removed to allow access for the church removal and site development.

As of Tuesday, 3rd of May 2022, number 1 Marshall Street Moura will change ownership for the first time in decades. Having served the Moura community as a place for worship, it will begin its transition to provide another much-needed service to the community.

Yarraboldy is committed to the Moura Community and we are currently preparing to submit a development application to BSC for an Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care (OSHC) centre to be constructed. This will be privately owned and operated by Yarraboldy Care Services Pty Ltd and will be the registered care provider.

Our vision for this centre is to provide this service to school age children, before and after school, plus during the holidays. Intake for the centre is expected to be for up to 50 children per day, pending developmental approvals.

Construction date and other ongoing information will be released as we confirm dates and move through the development and approval processes. It has been a two-year journey to reach this stage of the project for Yarraboldy, we look forward to seeing our plans for the project come to fruition.

A bit of activity around the old Lutheran church in Marshall Street today. Surveyors pegs went in to check boundaries.
