Recently, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of this beautiful couple. Urja and Sahil held their legal ceremony here in Australia, before celebrating again with a traditional ceremony in India.

I’ve never been so tempted to sneak into someone’s luggage - after seeing the photographs they shared, I definitely should have tried!

Happy One-Year Anniversary, Urja and Sahil. It was such an honour to be part of the moment that began your beautiful journey together.

A Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel Singapore led to this beautiful moment in time - Graeme and Hilary’s wedding at Sandstone Point Hotel.

The groom joked that the guest list gets a little smaller as we get older, but that only made the ceremony feel even more personal. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they stood beneath the pavilion in the sea breeze and exchanged heartfelt personal vows.

Always such an honour to be part of moments like these - celebrating a love that’s found its way at the right time, and the beginning of the rest of their days together.

Sharing a family’s experience of a recent celebration of life service.

Grateful to be trusted with such meaningful moments and receive such kind words from a lovely family.

Thank you to our beautiful Celebrant Angela Dennis who officiated yesterday at a service Celebrating the Life of Helen Stapleton (my 94 year old Mum).
Angela gave us the most perfect gift in the service she created and delivered to remember Mum. She came to our home to learn about Mum, her life story and what she meant to her family. The words Angela wove into the service were personal and heartfelt and her delivery was just like our Mum … calm and gentle. Angela wore Mum’s favourite colour pink and listened and made suggestions to incorporate pieces of our story into the service.
Angela officiated at a dear friend’s service only 3 months ago and I knew she was the Celebrant I wanted to do Mum’s service.
Thank you Angela from Kaye Gordon 🙏🌹🌈

That smile you see here? That’s the moment couples realise wedding paperwork isn’t scary at all.

Many couples arrive unsure about the legal side, but it’s actually straightforward:

1️⃣ Your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be lodged at least one month before your wedding date.
2️⃣ Both partners will need to show identification documents when completing the paperwork.
3️⃣ Your celebrant guides you through the entire process step by step.

By the end of our meeting, there’s usually a big sigh of relief - and often a heartfelt “that was easier than we thought!”

Moments like this make me love my job – helping couples feel calm, confident, and excited for their big day 🤍

How do you want your life remembered?

🕯️Some families choose a quiet chapel
⛪Others a familiar church
🤍And sometimes, a private space that feels just right

I recently had the privilege of holding a celebration of life at Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club (captured in the first photo) – a beautiful setting with space for reflection, connection, and storytelling. After the service, loved ones shared a toast in honour of a life well lived.

There’s no one “right” way to say goodbye – only what feels meaningful to you.

If you’d like support creating a private memorial service, please don’t hesitate to reach out - I would be honoured to assist during this time.

Talk about a dream lineup!

Members of the Brisbane Northside Antique Automobile Association brought out their vintage classics to honour a dear friend. The oldest on show? A remarkable 101-year-old 1925 Overland (that’s me beside it in the photos!).

The man we honoured lived and breathed cars and bikes, and his little oil can was never far from his side - a tiny companion for a lifetime of mechanical adventures, including working on his 1926 Chev! As a touching tribute, his family placed the oil can with him.

A fitting farewell, surrounded by engines, memories, and the community he loved.

Celebrant meetings don’t always look the same… and I love that.

☕ Sometimes it’s a relaxed café catch-up
🏡 Sometimes couples visit my cozy home office
🚗 And sometimes I’m welcomed into their home

One gorgeous couple even sent me home with fresh produce from their farm! 🥕🍅

However we meet, the most important part is creating a relaxed space to get to know each other before the big day.

If you’re recently engaged and looking for a celebrant, I’d love to chat…

Minnie’s service was held at Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club, where natural light filled the Pandanus Room and peaceful views stretched across the greens. This setting felt calm, warm and personal.

As a special nod to Minnie’s Scottish heritage, a Scottish flag was placed on her coffin, and talented bagpiper Josh Taylor piped the beginning and closing of the service. The sound resonated through the room, creating a moving moment for everyone present.

Minnie’s strongest values were shaped in Scotland - resilience, loyalty, and always finding something to laugh about, even in the hardest of times. It was also there that she met the love of her life and welcomed her two children, before bravely moving to Australia to begin a new chapter.

Moments like this remind us that every memorial can reflect the story, heritage and personality of the person it honours. 🕊️

A Google search brought this lovely couple my way! They were looking for an intimate ceremony, held in the comfort of their new home, with both their parents as witnesses.

After sharing their legal vows, they honoured their Indian heritage in a beautiful and meaningful way - the bride and groom invited their mothers to place the wedding rings on each other’s hands, symbolising not only the joining of two hearts, but also the support and love of their families.

As the sun began to set, they captured some gorgeous photos and celebrated with their loved ones.

As a Celebrant, it warmed my heart to witness the quiet beauty of this moment - proof that every ceremony, no matter its size, holds profound meaning, and that love, above all, is what makes a day unforgettable.

Flashback to one of the most unique memorial services I’ve had the privilege of leading as a celebrant.

Held at the Amateur Fishermen's Association of Queensland clubhouse in Bongaree, the dress code was “island style” - Hawaiian shirts and thongs. 🌺

Between fishing, golf, bowls, Probus, the Masonic Lodge, and the Men’s Shed, Neville’s community was huge. The night was filled with laughter and plenty of cheeky stories - many shared with a cold beer in hand, exactly the way he would have wanted.

The farewell finished just as promised – down on the beach with an incredible fireworks display that truly sent Neville off with a bang.

Should you ever wish to create a meaningful memorial for someone special, I would be honoured to assist.
