In 2019 we designed the brand identity and user experience for a national business energy efficiency program (beap).

The $11.7m program was the initiative of the Australian Federal Government and Business Australia (Formerly NSW Business Chamber) and aimed to help small businesses and their representatives get better energy deals and reduce their energy usage.

We delivered a series of design sessions with the project team at Business Australia lead by Tim Haddow and his project lead Neil Stow and followed on with visual design stages which included a brand identity system and supporting collateral.

In addition we conducted a number of design reviews on wireframes and digital interface of the beap website, EDMs and reports.

The result, a clean and simple brand system and beautifully designed user experience that supports small businesses through a process of becoming more energy efficient. 

The service was designed with a clear user flow, detailed energy report, follow up emails and responsive communications, ready to assist and give helpful practical advice to businesses across 18 industry verticals.

This value is one close to our hearts and directly influences the type of work we take on in our studio. We talk about the planet, our environment and how shaping our environment shapes us as humans.

We can live in a relation to our environment and respect her as an autonomous being, leaving things better than we found them and how a regenerative mindset through relating to our environment ultimately leads to abundance for all.

We go deep on the MG Taylor Axiom, “You can’t get there from here but you can get here from there”.This axiom inspires thought on how we approach designing the path to a possible future.

It’s about going over there, to the future, creating it and then designing the way to bring a little bit more of there here each day.

We talk about the potential of humanity to meet and participate in dreaming the dream to design our future rather than leaving it in the hands of others who may have a very different take on what our future becomes.
