🚨 A LITTLE PSA FROM BLACK DUST CUSTOM CO. 🚨

We absolutely LOVE that you love our designs… but there’s a difference between being inspired and straight-up stealing. 👀

We put a hell of a lot of time, effort, creativity and money into designing our work. So when we see our original designs being copied, reproduced, altered slightly and passed off as someone else’s… yeah, we notice. 😏

If you like our designs — awesome! Buy them from us.
Don’t screenshot them, trace them, copy them, tweak them and sell them as your own.

Support small businesses by respecting the work that goes into what they create. ❤️

We’ll keep creating. You keep admiring.
But please… leave the stealing to the highway robbers. 😂

Another hit to the pocket of small businesses!
Thanks Albo…

💳 CARD SURCHARGES ARE OUT. Thanks, Albo.

Apparently this is meant to save you money.

Here’s what they forgot to mention…

Businesses still have costs associated with accepting card payments. Those costs don’t magically disappear because Albo and his crew of amazing spenders say we can’t show them as a surcharge anymore.

So what happens?

Businesses factor the remaining cost into their pricing.

And here’s the beautiful part…

When that cost was a card surcharge, it went toward covering the cost of processing the payment.

When businesses instead increase their GST-inclusive menu prices to recover costs, a portion of that higher price can flow through as additional GST.

So congratulations — the surcharge might disappear from your receipt, but the cost hasn’t necessarily disappeared from your pocket.

They’ve just made it less visible.

Call it what you want. From where we’re standing, it feels like another creative way for the government to get its hands on more of your hard-earned money while telling you they’re saving you money.

And if businesses across the country respond by putting prices up? You can work out what that does for the cost of living.

Cheers, legends. 🍔

Come grab a burger this week.

Our prices haven’t changed… yet. 👀
