The Naracoorte Waste Transfer Station caters for various waste types including putrescible, green organics, recyclables, e-waste, hard waste, asbestos, steel, oil and DrumMuster (chemical drums). The Waste Transfer Station accepts oil, steel and batteries free of charge. You can now also take your unwanted x-rays to the Naracoorte Waste Transfer Station, Blackwell Road, Naracoorte or drop them into the Envirotec office, 14 Brighton Drive, Naracoorte. This morning, he went above and beyond by surprising the kids with their very own mini wheelie bins before school.
Needless to say, they were absolutely thrilled with them.

📢Hard Waste Voucher System - Terms & Conditions📬

Ratepayers have started receiving their rates notices in the post - along with a hard waste voucher as part of Council's voucher trial for 2026-27.

Due to a printing error, the reverse side of the voucher has been printed blank - the notices were supposed to include the terms and conditions of the voucher on the reverse side.

If you receive your rates notices by email, you will shortly receive the correct double-sided notices in the post.

If you receive a hard-copy rates notice, you can view the terms and conditions of the hard waste voucher system on our website at https://bit.ly/hardwastevouchers

Printed copies of the terms and conditions will also be available from the Council offices in Naracoorte and Lucindale.

📬Hard Waste Vouchers ready to be mailed out📨

Naracoorte Lucindale Council is trialling a Hard Waste Voucher system for 2026-27.

A single-use Hard Waste Voucher will accompany Council's 2026-27 rates notices (to those who have their rates notices mailed) and will be separately mailed to those who have their rates notices emailed.

Ratepayers can expect to receive the voucher in the post by the end of July.

The Hard Waste Voucher system will replace the annual hard waste day held in Naracoorte in October/November each year.

The voucher can be used at any time the Naracoorte Waste Transfer Station is open until 30 June 2027.

Strict terms and conditions apply, which are clearly printed on the voucher notice.

A Lucindale Hard Waste Day will be advertised later in 2026, but a Hard Waste Voucher will be required to access that service.

Landlords are encouraged to pass the voucher on to their tenants for use.

To redeem your single-use voucher, present it to the Waste Transfer Station attendant. Proof that you are a Naracoorte Lucindale Council resident will be required - either show your driver's licence or rates notice.

Only the items and load levels described on the Hard Waste Voucher notice will qualify.

X-rays can be dropped at our office free of charge for recycling. Please remove all of your reports and envelopes and pop them into our recycling bin at our office 14 Brighton Drive.

X-ray films that have been collected for recycling are processed in a refinery to extract the silver. The x-ray films are heated using temperatures of over 1,000 degrees celsius. The silver is extracted and converted into a more pure silver form so it can be used to make new products such as silver solder, jewellery, the silver plating of utensils, electrical components and film manufacture.

🚨 Kerbside Waste Collection Update🚨

We’ve been advised that the current 2025-2026 kerbside waste calendar contains an error. Next week's waste collection, on Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th June, is GREEN WASTE collection, not recycling (yellow bin).

For those areas that have their bins collected on a Monday or Tuesday, please make sure you put out your green waste bin to avoid missing your collection. Red bins will be collected as normal.

The 2026-2027 kerbside collection calendar which will begin on Wednesday 1st of July is correct.
