𝐌𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲-𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞❤️
People often think I started investing because I wanted more money.
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐬... 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲..
I started because I wanted 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬.
As a nurse, I know what it feels like to work long shifts, miss weekends, pick up overtime, and tell yourself, “𝐈'𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲.”
And for a season, I did.
But when I became a 𝐦𝐮𝐦, my 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝.
I realized I didn’t just want to provide for my children.
I wanted to be 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭.
To be there for the little moments that don’t come back.
The morning cuddles.
The random giggles.
The first words.
The 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 that eventually become the 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 we treasure most.
That’s why, over two years ago, I decided to build something alongside my nursing career.
Not because I wanted to quit nursing.
Not because I was chasing quick money.
But because I wanted 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 that could support our family without relying on more overtime or sacrificing more time together.
It wasn’t easy.
There were nights when I questioned myself.
There were weekends when I chose to learn instead of scrolling.
There were moments when the results were invisible.
But I stayed consistent.
Little by little…
That investment began 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.
Today, I’m still proud to be a nurse.
But I’m also grateful that this business works quietly in the background while I’m making memories with the people I love.
It has helped us 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 without feeling guilty.
Helped us 𝐩𝐚𝐲 for meaningful family 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬.
Helped me 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 my brother’s education.
Helped me 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐜𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 after maternity leave so I can spend 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 with my daughters.
And perhaps the greatest blessing of all…
It has given me 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
Because the greatest return on investment isn’t always measured in dollars.
Sometimes it’s measured in slow mornings.
In family dinners.
In being able to say “𝐲𝐞𝐬” to experiences instead of always saying, “Maybe next time.”
That’s why I’ll never see investing the same way again.
Whether it’s investing in your knowledge…
your personal growth…
or building another stream of income…
The 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 isn’t simply to earn more.
It’s to 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
More 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦.
More 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞.
More moments with the people who matter most.
