We are seeking a friendly and skilled individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Assistant. Your duties include customer service, selling, restocking and merchandising. With your bubbly personality and prior experience in a similar role, you will employ a high level of customer service and attention to detail as you fulfil a variety of shop duties. Weekend and flexible availability is a must.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Open and close store
- Manage point-of-sale process
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Handle cash with high attention to detail and balance register daily
- Accurately describe Lotto product features and benefits with high level of product and service knowledge
- Actively involve in the receiving of newspaper and magazine shipments, including pricing, inventory management, and stocking shelves
- Maintain a fully stocked store with outstanding cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
Increase shop revenue through sales maximisation and up-sell tactics

Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive working experience in retail sales; prior newsagent and/or Tattslotto experience in a similar role preferable
- Solid customer service skills and friendly, bubbly personality
- Track record of excellent cash handling skills and experience balancing registers with little to no cash variance
- Ability to work personably in a team, with strong self-sufficiency skills to also confidently self-manage
- Keen interest in retail sales and customer care
- Works well under pressure

Looking for someone preferably with Newsagency experience but it's not essential. What we don't want to compromise on is the ability to work in a team. Follow instructions and a high level of honesty and integrity.

We require someone part-time to come on board. We serve thousands of customers per week and it's important that you are a calm, well rounded individual and you're not easily stressed.
