Kitchen confidence starts early!
We love seeing our community come together, so we were thrilled to have Andrew Embley drop by as a special guest at the recent The Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre, Kids in the Kitchen workshop.
There was plenty of chopping, mixing, learning, and (the best part) taste-testing! Along the way, these amazing young chefs built practical kitchen skills and had a brilliant time connecting with peers who understand life with type 1 diabetes.
For kids living with T1D, navigating food and carbohydrates is a big part of everyday life. This workshop provides a positive, hands-on space where they can ask questions, try new things, and see just how much fun cooking can be.
A massive thank you to for bringing the energy and sharing his kitchen wisdom with the kids, and to everyone who helped make the day so special.
