Mk2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced hands-on Civil Supervisor to work for a company that has evolved into one of the largest commercial landscaping businesses in Australia.
With 30 years' experience, they have delivered major projects across a variety of sectors such as:
Rail
Parks and Leisure for local government
Land development, including new estates
Energy, including mine and windfarm projects
The successful candidate ideally will have a background in Landscape or Construction, in addition to the following:
Lead on-site staff within landscape construction works, ensure projects are completed on-time within budget
Report on weekly/monthly budgets and progress
Schedule works daily against the works program
Forecast staff resourcing requirements in-conjunction with project progress.
Responsible for staff workload and fatigue management
Ensure that there is a clear understanding of the relevant project specifications and drawings
Ensure all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, subcontractors etc.) are effectively utilised and monitored to achieve timely completion of projects
Manage all regulatory requirements (e.g. Local Council, EPA etc.)
Upon completion of a task, ensure all appropriate hired in plant and equipment is promptly off hired
Responsible for the adherence and compliance of the OHS & HR procedures for all on site
Work closely and support the Project Manager and Assistant Construction Manager on the completion of projects
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years in a similar role on large scale commercial landscape projects
Proven experience in Site Supervisor role is essential
The ability to read and interpret plans
Strong experience in the operation of plant and equipment relevant to landscape construction activities
Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a small team and manage site staff daily
High-level problem-solving skills required
The ability to engage and influence
Good communication skills both verbally and written
An excellent work ethic and positive mindset
