πŸŒΏπŸ’§ Exploring, Creating & Learning Outdoors! πŸ’§πŸŒΏ

All our friends enjoyed a wonderful outdoor sensory experience, using water droppers, jugs, and measuring containers to explore pouring, transferring, and experimenting with water.

These hands-on experiences help develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving abilities, and early mathematical concepts such as volume and measurement. Most importantly, children are encouraged to learn through curiosity, imagination, and play in a natural environment.

Outdoor learning provides endless opportunities for discovery, creativity, and meaningful connections with the world around us. 🌱✨

πŸ“šβœ¨ Simultaneous Story Time 2026 – Fostering a Love of Literacy βœ¨πŸ“š

Last Wednesday the children at Angel Tots enjoyed participating in Simultaneous Story Time 2026, joining thousands of children across the country to share the same story at the same time. This special event celebrates the joy of reading, storytelling, and the importance of literacy in early childhood education.

Through engaging discussions, shared reading experiences, and imaginative thinking, children strengthened their language skills, listening abilities, comprehension, and love for books. Story time also encourages social connections, creativity, and a sense of belonging within our learning community.

We are proud to support early literacy and inspire lifelong readers through meaningful learning experiences like this. πŸŒŸπŸ“–

πŸŒΏπŸƒ Exploring Indigenous Herbs Through Cooking πŸƒπŸŒΏ

Today, our children engaged in a meaningful hands-on cooking experience, using Indigenous herbs to create a delicious cake. Through this activity, children explored native ingredients, discovered unique aromas and flavours, and learned about the important connection between First Nations peoples and the land.

Cooking experiences support the development of early maths concepts, language skills, fine motor coordination, and teamwork, while also fostering respect for cultural knowledge and sustainable practices.

🌈 Learning Through Play! πŸ’¦

Today our Caterpillar friends explored floating, sinking, pouring, and problem-solving during a fun water play activity. Using colourful sponges and water droppers, children developed their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and early science understandingβ€”all while having lots of fun!

Sensory play provides wonderful opportunities for children to investigate, experiment, and build confidence through hands-on experiences. πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’–

Who would have thought banging a drum could be so beneficial for young children.

Our youngest learners confidently using a tapping stick to explore cause and effect through sound and movement. Demonstrated emerging hand-eye coordination and fine motor control while independently striking the drums.
Showed curiosity, concentration, and enjoyment during the experience, using sensory exploration to support early cognitive and creative development.

Recently some of our Angel Tots Butterfly children have been showing off their skills on the monkey bars.
Half the fun is just watching their determination β€” tiny hands, serious concentration, and the excitement of finally reaching the last bar like they’ve conquered a mountain.
The proudest of moment is to watch each child support each other, encourage them to try and try again and the joint celebration when a child's determination finally pays off and they cheer together this amazing accomplishment.
