The NSW DV changes are now in effect, but a few social posts can only cover so much.

The reforms include important changes to how bond contributions are recorded, recovered and dealt with when a tenancy is affected by domestic violence.

For Property Managers, that means understanding the pathway for a departing co-tenant to recover their contribution, when NCAT can step in, and the new requirement to record individual co-tenant bond contributions in new agreements.

A big REAL+ welcome to James Mason 👋

We’re very excited to welcome James Mason to the REAL+ team as our new Property Management Practice & Services Manager.

James brings nearly a decade of hands-on real estate experience, starting in Property Management before moving into sales, marketing and strategy.

And it’s that combination that makes him such a great addition to REAL+.

He knows what it’s like to manage portfolios, navigate the day-to-day challenges of Property Management, Home Sales and working with clients, but he also brings a creative and commercial mindset, backed by a background in marketing and even a stint at Channel 10.

At REAL+, James will be working closely with our members and wider community, helping turn real-world Property Management & Home Sales challenges into practical support, resources, training and solutions.

Outside the office, James is a proud Dad, usually chasing his daughter around the Northern Beaches - or chasing a faster 5K time.
