Ladies, have you felt it?⁠

'Mate' isn't offensive in its own right. Yet it can provide a certain impenetrable cameraderie between blokes (real or imagined). I noticed it recently, bizarrely, in an email conversation in which I suddenly felt like the third wheel. Of course team meetings and conferences make for classic 'mating' territory. ⁠
⁠
But recently, on a walk around the block, a tradie greeted me with some banter about the day. He jovially addressed me as 'mate'. He'd have thought nothing of it of course, but it struck me as quite unusual. I felt warm and fuzzy, like I was part of something. ⁠ Is that weird? ⚒️🔨🛠️.⁠

Seems quite subjective. Advertised under 'tranquil' this week were Cremator Operator, ⚰️ HC Truck Driver 🚚 Child and Family Psychologist and Structural Engineer.

"-lower the intonation of your voice at the end of sentences
- reduce how quickly and how often you speak
- pause for two full seconds before you speak"

I've been working with123 Training Solutions and Raise Training, to promote this funded program, (plus hat and boots), that will be a great enabler for many young people to try their hand in the real world of work. Tell a young person you know. Must be 16 or over. 🔨⚒️🔨
