2026 Award Minimum Rates Decision 🤑💰

Yesterday the Fair Work Commission handed down its annual wage review decision, confirming a 4.75% increase to Modern Award wages from 1 July 2026.

The national minimum wage has also been increased to $1004.90 per week.

In making the decision, the Fair Work Commission acknowledged a number of factors had been considered, including cost of living pressures, inflation and economic conditions.

What should employers be doing now?

💰Review pay rates between now and 1 July 2026
💰Ensure employees paid under Modern Awards receive the updated minimum hourly rates
💰Ensure any employees on annualised salary arrangements continue to be Better Off Overall
