There are a number of Greek legends about rose quartz and its energy of love and contentment including one involving Cupid!!!

It is believed that Cupid and Eros brought rose quartz to humankind in the hope that its beautiful pink color would inspire love and desire between humans on earth.

Why don’t we here more about this legend at Valentines day?!?

It has been a rough start to 2020 for most of Australia, whether you are experiencing anxiety and a feeling of helplessness from the images on social media and the news, you are breathing in tainted air, you are experience stress from the threat of fire or you are suffering from the total devastation of losing your home (and possibly even a loved one) in fires.

In any case, it is making forward planning for 2020 a challenging feat.

But feeling guilty and putting life on hold will not help and will not achieve anything for anyone.

So put your hair up (because serious action is take by a girl with her hair up), muster all your strength and start setting those goals, thinking about how you can drive your future and help those in need as well.

It is time to take action!

PS. I have found one more MANIFEST Clear Quartz GEM straw, tucked away with the LOVE straws. First in best dressed!!!

I am currently in the process of updating the GEM straw website to include integrated donations.

Currently I manually donate $1 from the sale of each straw to several organisations contributing to ocean conservation.

With the bushfire crisis currently gripping Australia, this year I have chosen to donate to various charities contributing to the bush fire relief projects.

In light of the fires continuing to threaten lives and landscapes - the end of this week will be another potentially catastrophic period - I have decided to also donate 100% of profits from the sale of our GROUND Smokey Quartz GEM straw to bushfire relief charities.

Stay tuned for info about who we will be donating too!

Happy new year 🥳

We hope you have enjoyed a fabulous festive break, we have been enjoying lazy days since Christmas Eve, making the most of precious time with family and friends.

But we are back on deck now, after much time (including this morning) spent relaxing on beaches like this one ☝🏻

We have also been keeping a very, very close eye on the devastating fire activity throughout Australia, donating to several organisations helping people, firies and animals affected.

It is official, our Christmas orders have cleaned us out of our MANIFEST Clear Quartz Stainless Steel GEM straw.

We will have new stick in the new year, but for now it is SOLD OUT!

When I started this little beautiful business, one of my biggest fears was that no one would love the and I would be stuck with ALL of them.

To have officially sold out in one of our range feels like such an achievement - thank you for loving these gorgeous alternatives to straws as much as I do!

Now let’s sell out the rest 😜

I have another little SNEAK PREVIEW for you today!

My glasses have arrived! I am so in love with them. I spent a lot of time working on the design of these glasses - I wanted them to be different, feel good in your hand and not be too big or bulky. And I have to say, they are perfect!

With a wide base and a narrow top, they feel so good in your hand - and the faceted pattern makes them feel just a little special.

What do you think???

This was supposed to be what my morning looked like, alas the smoke was so heavy this morning that we couldn’t even open the doors.

There are still SO many fires burning throughout the state (and the rest of Aus) which got me thinking this morning, what can I do?

I have already personally donated to a number of charities raising funds for fire affected communities, animal conservation groups and the but this morning I decided that instead of donating $1 from the sale of each to ocean conservation and cleanup, for the foreseeable future this money will be donated to charities raising funds for those that are fire affected.

I would love to hear what you have been doing to try and help - it all feels a little helpless at the moment!
