🚨 We know what it feels like to be targeted by scammers!

This email landed in our inbox this morning claiming we had a new myGov message—but take a closer look at the sender’s email address. It certainly didn’t come from myGov or the Australian Taxation Office!

Scammers are becoming increasingly convincing, which is why it’s so important to:

🔍 Check the sender’s full email address

🔗 Never click unexpected links

📱 Open the official myGov app or website yourself

☎️ Contact the organisation directly if you’re unsure

Unfortunately, we also speak with people who have been caught out by security products purchased online or installers who disappear once they’ve been paid.

Which is why the same care should be taken when choosing someone to install or service your security system. Check that the business holds the relevant security licences and insurance—and don’t be afraid to ask for their licence number so you can verify it.

📺📺 How old is your TV aerial setup? We want to see it!📺📺

The boys brought this little piece of TV history back to the office and I thought it was far too good not to share.

This is an old Kingray MH21 masthead amplifier power supply from 1987. It had actually only recently died — not long after celebrating a birthday 🎂🎉and turning 39 years old! That’s a pretty impressive run 😲

We come across some really interesting old TV aerial equipment hidden away in roof spaces, cupboards and behind TVs, and it got us wondering…

🏆 Can anyone beat 1987?
