My end of year post hits a little different this year cause I am already 3 weeks in to my rest, reflect and reset phase.

As I prepared the end of year wrap for my business and Australian family life a month early, there were a few tasks I had to “leave for January”, so I have no stats on how many delegates we looked after, how many partners we worked with and no BIG ‘aha’ moment to share and I am ok with that.

I am sharing though a picture of my son and I discovering a coral reef in the open waters on the Red Sea. We were so lucky to have a videographer with us, and all I asked for was one ‘hero’ shot of us together. Anyone who is a communications person or mother of a teen boy knows how challenging that seemingly simple request could have been…but the magic in this photo for me sums it all.

Look for the magic as you rest, reflect and reset 💕

We just hosted a medical conference in Newcastle, where the faculty travelled from the US.

Eveyone fell in 💕 with our town, the lifestyle and the blend of city, country, coast.

A popular request for our on call tour guide, was a pick up from the ⛵️Harbourside hotel, a 10min drive to see 🐨 koalas, kangaroos and more, a drop off at 1 of the 6 patrolled beaches for a swim, 🌊 followed by the afternoon at one of the city based micro breweries 🍻

In 2025, this one is back in Newcastle.

The Childbirth and Parenting Education Conference (CAPEA 2025) will be a face-to-face conference held at the Rydges Newcastle 6-8 November 2025. The theme of the two-and-a-half-day conference is Taking Childbirth and Parenting Education to New Heights, which will incorporate inspiring presentations on the many aspects of parenting education and skill development throughout the pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey.

The CAPEA conference is for Health Care Professionals across a range of disciplines including Childbirth and Parenting Educators, Midwives, Child and Family Health Nurses, Physiotherapists and Doulas.
