Half of the events I am producing this year are as a freelancer and I’m loving it!

Early in my career I realised I need variety to develop my skills, my creativity and even sometimes to energise me.

I’m midway through event season and activities I’ve been involved in already include……….

Street parties | multi-week festivals | business events | gala dinners | tour groups and my next event is an international conference on Larrakia Country (Darwin) which has been on my event bingo card for years.

My end of year post hits a little different this year cause I am already 3 weeks in to my rest, reflect and reset phase.

As I prepared the end of year wrap for my business and Australian family life a month early, there were a few tasks I had to “leave for January”, so I have no stats on how many delegates we looked after, how many partners we worked with and no BIG ‘aha’ moment to share and I am ok with that.

I am sharing though a picture of my son and I discovering a coral reef in the open waters on the Red Sea. We were so lucky to have a videographer with us, and all I asked for was one ‘hero’ shot of us together. Anyone who is a communications person or mother of a teen boy knows how challenging that seemingly simple request could have been…but the magic in this photo for me sums it all.

Look for the magic as you rest, reflect and reset 💕
