I asked Maggie, What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of being selected to join the Skillshare Top Teacher community. It’s reserved for the top 1% of instructors on the platform and it’s easily the best thing that’s happened to my business. It has allowed me to be surrounded by talented, passionate, caring educators and it has pushed me to be the kind of instructor I never thought I could be.
What still terrifies you about being a business owner
Anything to do with taxes or legal disputes scares the absolute crap out of me. I’m still continuously learning about these areas of my business every single day but I have incredible respect for people who work in these areas, who know their sh*t. 🙌
You’re happiest in life when you are doing what?
The unhappiest parts of my life and business have been when I’ve gotten involved with clients, projects or relationships (both personal and professional) that clashed with my values. This has taught me that I’m the happiest when I’m living a life that’s aligned with my mission and values. I need to do work that matters in a way that feels authentic to me. It’s either that or playing with dogs… that also makes me incredibly happy! 😂
