The Victorian Government has announced $500 million to establish a Business Support Fund to support small to medium businesses most impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The coronavirus stimulus package for small-medium businesses will provide $2,000 to $25,000 in credits against the amounts owed for the Mar to Jun 2020 BAS. Further information can be found via the link below. Key points to note are:

* All businesses with a gross income of < $50mill in FY19 are eligible

* This will not be paid in cash, it will instead reduce the amount owed for the Mar to Jun BAS

* The amount businesses receive will equal 50% of the PAYG tax withheld from their employees from 1 Jan to 30 Jun 2020
