We have some very exciting news.

Mineral Fox has been named a 2026 Australian Financial Review Sustainability Leader for our work in transforming oyster shell waste into architectural building materials.

What began with a simple idea has grown into years of research, experimentation, collaboration and problem-solving. And incredibly more than 600,000 oyster shells being given a second life in the walls of the Parramatta Powerhouse Museum Powerhouse Museum

We couldn’t have done it alone. This recognition belongs to the many people and organisations who have been willing to question the recipe with us - our team, applicator partners, architects, builders, researchers, clients, government and collaborators who supported an idea before we had all the answers.

We are incredibly proud to have this work recognised by The Australian Financial Review and BDO in Australia but are even more excited about what comes next - a future where clean materials are the standard, not the premium.

Materials that give back.

Kivari Sydney Central.

Layered with muted tones and layers of materiality, the brief was to echo the brand’s signature coastal aesthetic while evoking elegance and restraint.

Our Circular Sea Collection wall finish was selected to provide warmth and a unique aesthetic alongside a selection of natural stone, while also diverting hundreds of oyster shells from landfill.

Proudly made on the Sunshine Coast, for the Sunshine Coast.

We are proud to have contributed to 50 First Avenue, Maroochydore - a major new development by Walker Group in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, in the heart of our home region.

Our Botanicrete in a custom, raked finish was used as the render finish on the rooftop along with our microcement to create an organic and unique aesthetic. Botanicrete uses tree resin in place of synthetic polymers to give this finish a uniquely natural look and feel that’s perfect for coastal living/working environments.

A huge thank you to Walker Group and the Sunshine Coast council for supporting local businesses like ours and for embracing new ideas and creating opportunities for innovative materials to be used in projects of this calibre.

Why natural lime render? Most render we see in modern building construction is either acrylic (plastic) or cement (with an acrylic paint applied over the top). These render systems are quick and easy to apply, cost-effective and are less prone to cracking and are easy to maintain. So why natural lime render. Lime render has been used for centuries throughout the world. It is not film-forming. So it lets buildings breathe. It also has a uniquely beautiful aesthetic - one that is naturally cloudy (not a one-dimensional surface) and it reflects light and colour from within the material, not just on the surface. This is our natural lime render in its natural colour. During the day it is pure white. But it changes with the light. As the sun lowers it takes on the sunset’s hues. Ever changing and always breathing. Thanks to Vision Decorative Plastering | Adelaide SA for the beautiful application

When the vision is a seamless, natural plaster aesthetic, covering all surfaces and floors, nothing compares to our mineral microcement. Crafted from minerals, it has the beautiful aesthetic of natural plaster, but with the durability and ease of maintenance of cement..without of the epoxy/chemical nasties. This breathtaking project on the Gold Coast is thanks to Pro Render Finishes
