Ok, I want to address something that’s been weighing heavy on me lately.
I’m a tow truck operator and small business owner here in Ipswich trying to make a genuine difference in our community. Yes, we tow cars but Gone Towing has never been about just towing cars.
We are community focused.
How?
We’re there for people during stressful moments like breakdowns, accidents, hard days and difficult situations — with Mental Health First Aid accredited team members who genuinely care.
We run initiatives like Free Tow Tuesday for people doing it tough, including:
• DV victims
• Veterans
• Pensioners
• Elderly community members
• Single income families
• People simply down on their luck
For those who don’t qualify, we still try to help where we can through discounted rates and support.
We’ve also started Poker HuntUs as a way of giving back to the community that supports our business and our family. Gone Towing is a small, family-run business, and everything we do comes from a place of wanting to create positivity, connection and support in Ipswich.
But I also want to make something very clear.
If we are not your cup of tea, that is completely okay. Not every business is for everyone.
However, ongoing negativity, hate, disrespect, dismissive behaviour or personal attacks in our comments will no longer be tolerated. From today forward, those engaging in that behaviour will simply be blocked.
We choose positivity, respect and community.
At the end of the day, we’re here to help people not argue with them.
