Tonight my son wanted to go fishing.
It’d been a huge day.

He’d worked in the morning, I dropped him off at 7.30am.. then he played his basketball game, then I worked all afternoon with one-on-one clients … and when I picked him up late this afternoon, he asked if I could take him to try out his new gear.

I was tired, but decided to go. We had the opportunity to have some one on one time whilst his sister was at a friends- and I’m so glad we did!

What a beautiful 2 hours spent relaxing as he fished happily, and we both got to enjoy the magical sunset.

What a day. Sometimes the most magical things happen when we say Yes to life.

For years I let myself believe that I wasn’t good enough. That others were better than me. I became fearful of success and kept myself small.

I quickly worked my way up the ranks, becoming a staff trainer, supervisor and manager in my 20’s. I became a business owner at 25. I still thought I wasn’t smart enough.

What a way to live!

If you keep telling yourself things- your entire system starts to believe it….

But the same happens when you start talking positively about yourself.

About life. About your kids. Your health.

Your body listens. It responds accordingly.

I’ve wasted so many years believing I was less-than and not good enough.

Now, I know better.

The human has the capacity for greatness.

We are all born with endless possibilities….

It is up to us how we choose to grow, learn and evolve within our lifetime.

We CAN do hard things.
We CAN achieve greatness.
We do not have to listen to people who bring us down.

This life is MY life. And I will choose to live it, MY way! šŸ™ŒšŸ»šŸ„°

Sharing a snippet of my former life… before divorce… before kids… before everything that happened in between then and now. But it all contributed to where I am today, and my ability to help others.

The deepest trust happens during a session. Without this trust, the body won’t relax, it won’t release, and it won’t feel safe enough to let go.

Today’s sessions were just magic… the gentle unfolding and release that occurs as I read their system, allowing myself to sink deeper into a state of presence so that I am able to assist others.

As part of the work I do, I also have an increased awareness. This awareness comes in handy in day to day life- especially this morning!

As I drove home from school drop off, a car came out the driveway from the shopping centre on the left.

I was in the right lane, and about to move into a right turning lane.

In that moment, I could sense that the elderly woman driving the car beside me was unaware of her surroundings, and was just focussed on moving into the right hand turning lane- so she moved from the left lane- straight into my lane, and almost hit my car.

I was able to sense it about to happen, jam on my breaks, and her car continued to move into the lane I was in.

In my slight panic to control my vehicle, and avoid the imminent side collision, I hit the windscreen wipers instead of the horn… it was a much more peaceful result… than the blaring horn I wanted to have tooting at herā€¦šŸ¤£šŸ¤Ŗ

Had I not had that awareness mere seconds before it happened to hit the brakes and turn the wheel, she would’ve driven straight into the front left wheel and I dare say my car may have been written off.

Our systems are designed innately to sense the world moving around us. In caveman days, we would’ve known of imminent danger from miles away so we could retreat safely into our caves.

The more open and responsive we become to life, the more awareness we have for life that moves around us, constantly.
