Big thanks to our talented team for crafting the immersive renders and 3D models that bring every project to life long before construction begins. These virtual builds allow our clients to step inside their future homes, explore ideas, and make confident choices early on.

With powerful visual tools and advanced modelling, we can:
🎨 Experiment with materials, textures, and light
🌦 Test performance through every season
💬 Make collaboration simple no guesswork, just clarity and great design

Here’s a glimpse of a few projects.

Passive House isn’t about compromise it’s about smart design. 🌿

In our Low Energy Passive House in Clifton Hill, two common myths are busted:

🚫 Myth 1: Skylights don’t work in Passive House
✔️ Truth: With careful detailing, skylights can flood interiors with natural light and maintain performance.

🚫 Myth 2: Frameless windows aren’t possible
✔️ Truth: Seamless glazing details still achieve airtightness and efficiency.

With strategic planning and smart design, your project can deliver high performance while meeting expectations.

💡 How to reduce waste and save money?

At EME, we build virtually before we build on-site.
Our detailed design process creates a digital database of every building component from tiles, structure, insulation and more.

This gives builders a second pair of eyes, helping identify errors early, streamline material orders, and minimise waste and unnecessary costs.

Smart design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about precision, efficiency, and responsibility. ♻️
building virtually before it’s built on site. It’s how we build better.

The Esplanade, a certified Passivhaus Plus that captures the essence of coastal living, where performance meets pleasure.
Rammed-earth walls anchor the home to a very steep site, while generous high-performance windows allow great views to the Port Phillip Bay on the south side of the dwelling.
Courtyards and verandahs blur the line between inside and out, offering a sanctuary that’s as connected as it is comfortable.

It’s a home that lets you enjoy the best of the coastline in every season.

Love the coast? Let’s design a home that performs beautifully by the sea.

Why build airtight?

Our Alpine Passivhaus achieved 0.43 ACH! 🎉

1️⃣ Avoid structural damage – An airtight barrier stops warm indoor air from reaching colder parts of the building where it could cause condensation, mould, and long-term material damage.

2️⃣ Enhance living comfort – By avoiding draughts and uncontrolled infiltration, airtightness ensures stable indoor temperatures and balanced home performance.

3️⃣ Protect indoor air quality – Airtightness works in sync with the MHRV (Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation) system, delivering fresh, filtered air while removing stale air.

4️⃣ Save energy – Airtight homes minimise heat loss from leaks, lowering heating and cooling demand and keeping energy bills down.

✨ Our Alpine Passivhaus is a great example: with a result of 0.43 ACH, well below the Passivhaus benchmark of 0.6. This means year-round comfort, excellent efficiency, and healthy indoor air.

Big congratulations to the team at for achieving this outstanding result! 🎉

Geelong Passive House – 2023 🌿

It’s always valuable to re-analyse our projects and revisit the potential and ideas they hold.

Built in 2023 this home balances high performance with lifestyle. At its rear, a fully Passive House living zone ensures year-round comfort, airtightness, and energy efficiency.
✨ High-level northern windows flood the interiors with light
✨ Living, dining & kitchen open to private gardens
✨ A flexible front-of-house supports multi-generational living or evolving family needs

At the front, a multifunctional space connects directly with the street and neighbouring reserve, giving the home the flexibility to evolve with time while maintaining its privacy

By combining efficiency, resilience, and a strong connection to the landscape, Geelong Passivhaus delivers more than reduced energy demand it creates a calm, garden-focused lifestyle with healthy, light-filled spaces designed to adapt over time.

Clifton Hill Passive – Heritage Renovation 🏡✨
This project shows how heritage, flexibility, and Passivhaus performance can come together.

Carefully planned:
– To respect the heritage character of the street
– To expand garden space
– To evolve with time

The Low Energy Passivhaus extension:

Living areas face north for light and warmth, opening to a larger garden.

The link space:
A light-filled transition connects old and new. The heritage section now holds the children’s bedrooms, but is designed to adapt—one day becoming an independent dwelling.

The result is a sustainable, adaptable Passive House renovation that respects the past while preparing for the future.
