John deer X324 in for a fuel surging issue, oil leak and a bit of heat protection for winch wiring. Carb was ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt. Oil drain stem seals replaced and the winch wiring relocated and fully insulated and a heat guard added for exhaust protection.

Sometimes they just can't be saved. This poor old Tanaka has trimmed its last edge With both clutch bearings disintegrated to the point the had embedded themselves into the clutch arms and elongating the pivot holes, the flywheel sheared the crankshaft keyway, the carb so fouled that even 3 goes in the ultrasonic cleaner didn't work and a massive air leak in the crank case but surprisingly it still had compression 🤣is this machine could definitely be fixed but at a cost that far exceeds its value. So unfortunately its the scrap bin for this one

Ok we're back for 2026 and kicking it off with something a little different for a customer who I've previously repaired industrial floor sanding equipment for. This time though its something out of the ordinary, even for me ha ha. A bit of a blast from the past with the stereo setup and a first for installing a cassette deck! The customer was absolutely stoked with it all which is what its all about!

A before and after of a rewire on a floor sander At some point this machine had the lead replaced along with the wires from the terminal block to the switch. The wrong rated wire paired with a terrible joint between the power light and switch resulted in a hot joint which led to the damage you see here. New power lead and plug, all new wiring and terminals, new wires to the power light all heat shrunk and its back to the customer within 48 hours!

Is your clothes dryer sounding like its trying to break out of the laundry? Then take a look at this! A video I made today of a slide bearing repair to our clothes dryer. While this is not the typical type of repair I would do for a customer it may help someone out in a tight spot to squeeze an extra bit of life from a clothes dryer

A advanced power Honda generator that I recently completed a full refurb on. After I removed the mud wasp nest from the generator the start capacitor was replaced along with the engine mounts, low oil sensor, gpo, stop switch, carb kit, earth strap and grounding pin and making a new generator cover as the old one had perished (how the wasps got in🤣). The frame was stripped while the motor was out and repainted in John Deer Green.

Customer was told that their winch had seized and would need to be replaced by a local 4wd shop. At $1200 and Considering the drum could still be turned by hand they decided to get a 2nd opinion. A pretty quick inspection determined the the solenoid had left the chat at around $150 it was a much cheaper option.
