Cobb's Hill Estate has a rich history dating back to 1854, including providing pastures for Cobb Co. horses employed for pulling stagecoaches through the Adelaide Hills from 1867. Today Cobb's Hill Estate is set on 250 acres, (100 hectares), of quality farmland, with over 60 acres of vineyards and a herd of black angus cattle. Our ten vineyards are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonna

y, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Shiraz vines. The Cellar Door, located in the old homestead, is set amongst a botanical garden. Combined with walking trails and panoramic views, you can enjoy your own country estate for a while. Relax with homegrown premium cool climate wines and gourmet platters in our tasting rooms and undercover decking with shady lawns in summer and log fires in winter. Enjoy our wines at our new cellar door by tasting flight, by the glass or bottle and our gourmet platters selection. Plus hot and cold beverages. Our selections are available in a picnic basket. There’s something special about the Estate after a good dose of rain.

With a few brief rays of sunshine breaking through the clouds today, we stepped outside to find our creek flowing beautifully through the property — a reminder of just how magical winter in the Adelaide Hills can be.

And while it may be dark and gloomy outside, inside the Terrace Restaurant it's warm, cosy and inviting. Settle in beside the fire with a glass of your favourite Cobb's Hill red and enjoy the best of our winter menu while watching the weather roll by.

Our new winter dining experience launches this Friday at the Estate.

Join us as we step into a new world of flavour this season with refreshed menus across the property.

In the Terrace Restaurant, enjoy our seasonal À La Carte menu for groups of up to 7 guests, or indulge in our Chef’s Shared “Feed Me” experience—available for all guests and required for groups of 8 or more. Available Friday to Sunday.

Still craving your favourites? Our Garden Dining experience is here to stay, featuring pinsas and grazing platters served amongst the firepits—perfect for relaxed winter gatherings. If the weather isn’t on our side, bookings will be moved into our cosy Pavilion Marquee with gas fires, a separate bar, and all the warmth you need.

Our Cellar Door remains open 7 days a week for tastings, with small grazing platters available to enjoy alongside your estate wine.

Something exciting is happening at the Estate 🍂

This week we’re expanding our outdoor dining and tasting spaces at the Cellar Door, creating even more room to relax amongst the vines and enjoy the Estate experience year-round.

As we complete the renovations, the Estate will be temporarily closed until Friday — but we’ll be reopening just in time to launch our brand new winter menu.

Think long lunches, comforting seasonal dishes, fireside wines and cosy afternoons.
