Alex was a fourth-year apprentice refrigeration mechanic. In 2013 he went to work and didn't come home.

His mum, Michelle, sat down to talk about that day, and about the small device that could have changed it.

This October, a lockout breaker goes in the box with your first Voltex order. Keep it in the kit. Use it every time.

Know of a spot that needs a cooling upgrade for summer? A community hall, a charity house, a childcare centre.

Nominate them in the comments or send us a DM. We’ll select 7 at random and supply them with a new fan, plus contribute $90/hour for your time installing them.

Nominations close Friday 30th October. Winners announced Monday 2nd November.

Good design starts with “there’s got to be a better way.”

You tell us what’s fiddly. What wastes time. What could work better. Those conversations help shape the gear.

This year, three new Australian Good Design Awards. Thanks to you.

We have introduced a permanent price reduction on six of our lighting ranges. Costs are constantly creeping up and it’s affecting your quoting, so we are doing what we can to help.

Still as good as you remember. Still the same product and the same warranty; parts, plus a contribution to labour.

Last week your orders helped us to raise a $40k donation for MATES In Construction.

*It was actually $39,930 but that was going to annoy us so we covered the rest.

This donation will help support fellow sparkies and tradies with more on-site training, case management and further support for the 24/7 qualified counsellor help line.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for your orders that helped make this possible and for helping Voltex back this very important cause.
