Peter was in Whyalla this week for Employer Connect, run by Workforce Australia to support local workers after the blast furnace closure.

Good day, and good conversations. SCS works across South Australia and New South Wales on crusher and fixed plant maintenance, and the trade skills in that room transfer straight into what we do.

If you had a chat with Peter, or you’re having a look around at what’s out there, you can register your interest here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/muJzApwB8m

On the road to SA! 🚚

This load headed out of our Orange workshop bound for South Australia, a container to support the on-site works and a trailer full of fabricated components ready to go straight into the job.

The build is one thing, but it's not done until it's on site and ready to install. We plan the delivery with the same care as the fabrication so it turns up when it's needed.

Safe travels to the driver making the long haul across. 👍

Sparks flying in the fab bay. ⚡

These stands and platforms were built from raw steel to finished product, right here in our Orange workshop.

Clean fit-up, quality welds, built to spec to hold up under serious load out on the mine site.
Credit to the crew on the tools.

Safety yellow, start to finish. 🟡

Blasting and coating done in-house at our Orange workshop. Full surface prep, protective coating and a finish built to stand up to the mine site.

The paint is the part no one sees working, but it's what keeps corrosion off the steel and adds years to the asset.

Big effort from the crew in the booth.

The team at PRP Imaging are swapping their scrubs for the dance floor, and they need Orange's help to get there!

They've set themselves a $40,000 fundraising goal for Stars of Orange, and they're just $1,000 short. These are the same people who show up every day to care for our community through some of the hardest moments. Now it's our turn to back them.

If you've got a few dollars to spare, throw it their way.

I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support.

Meet Kirk McGinnes — our Operations Manager.

Kirk comes to SCS with 26 years in the Central West mining industry, most of it spent on the client side. He knows what good maintenance looks like from the other end of the relationship, and that experience shapes how he works every day.

Glad to have you on board, Kirk.
