A little Kite Coffee misconception we hear a lot… 👀

Because you’ll find us on Kite Street in Orange, you’d be forgiven for thinking that’s where our name came from.

But Kite Coffee is actually named after the Australian Kite, a bird of prey, which you’ll find flying proudly through our logo.

Our logo also gives a nod to the place we call home, from the sunrising over Gaanha Bula - Mount Canobolas, to the Orange countryside, alongside the coffee plant, bean and cup.

So, Kite Street? A pretty fitting coincidence. ☕️🪶

Simple questions sparked something bigger. ☕️

Questions about tamping, where the beans came from and why certain things were done often didn’t have much of an answer.

So Jatin started finding the answers himself.

The more he learnt about coffee, the more the passion grew.

And eventually, that curiosity led to Kite Coffee. 🤎

Each one is inspired by the landscape we get to call home here in Orange, NSW. From Gaanha-bula (Mount Canobolas) watching over the region, to the rich volcanic basalt soils beneath our feet, the place we live has quietly shaped the brand from the beginning.

You'll see it in our names, our packaging, the earthy tones, deep reds and endless blue skies reflected throughout our brand.

Because while our beans come from some of the world's best coffee-growing regions, the heart of Kite has always been Orange, NSW.

Every roast is a small nod to the place we call home.
