🔥MEET CARBON🔥
Okay, this one is a bit bloody cool.

Inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of burning timber, Carbon has that seriously charred, textured look - deep black, loads of grain and a finish that's anything but ordinary.
It's got that raw, slightly rough-around-the-edges feel that works beautifully with modern artwork, earthy interiors and anything with a bit of attitude.
And because it's got so much going on in the texture, you don't need to do much else. Let Carbon be the feature, or layer it with another moulding if you want to take things up a notch.

Definitely not your everyday black frame.

New moulding. Now in the Frame Effect lineup.

Come in and have a look because this is one you really need to see (and touch) in person.

🍊 THIS ONE IS ALL ABOUT THE COLOUR
Honestly… look at that colour! 😍

This artwork was never going to be a wallflower, so we kept the framing clean and simple and let the artwork do the heavy lifting.
A soft timber frame, a generous mount and plenty of breathing room around the artwork because sometimes the best frame is the one that knows when to shut up. 😂
The warm timber works beautifully with all those oranges, reds, pinks and earthy tones, while the mount gives the whole thing a bit of calm amongst all that glorious colour.
This is exactly why we love custom framing. It’s not about chucking something in a frame and calling it a day. It’s about finding the right combination of frame, mount, colour and proportion to make the artwork look its absolute best.

And if you're looking for a Christmas gift with a bit more personality than the usual socks-and-chocolates combo… a beautiful artwork, professionally framed, is a pretty good place to start. 🎄😉

Got something colourful, meaningful or just bloody lovely? Put us to the test.

A LITTLE BIT OF OLD-SCHOOL CHARM
Some artwork just needs a fancy frame and this was definitely one of them.

This soft, romantic piece has that beautiful old-world feel, so we went all in with an ornate gold custom frame. The fine burgundy line around the artwork ties everything together without getting in the way of the painting.
And I love how much the frame changes the feel of this piece. It could have gone a few different ways, but the gold gives it that lovely vintage, classic, slightly grand feel.

This is what we love about custom art framing - there isn't a one-frame-fits-all answer. The artwork, the colours, the style and where it's going to live all come into the mix.

Got something that deserves a little bit of fancy? Bring it in.

🐂 OKAY… THIS ONE HAS ATTITUDE.
This colourful fellow definitely wasn't asking for a boring frame.
We kept the framing simple and clean so all those colours, shapes and little details could do their thing. The slim oak float frame gives it a finished edge without competing with the artwork because honestly, there's already plenty going on here. 😂
And this is where custom framing makes such a difference. The right frame doesn't have to shout louder than the artwork. Sometimes it just needs to know when to step back and let the art be the star.

A fun piece like this would look bloody fantastic in the right spot and if you're thinking about Christmas gifts, original artwork or a favourite print that's been sitting around waiting to be framed could be a pretty good place to start. 🎄

Got something a little bit different? Bring it in. We like a challenge.

🧢 NOT YOUR EVERYDAY HATS...
These two baggy caps came into the workshop with a fair bit of history attached so they definitely weren't heading back into a cupboard!

One is an Orange City Cricket Club cap from 1982, the other a Clergate Cricket Club Premiers cap from 1967.
Rather than simply storing these pieces away, we’ve turned them into custom memorabilia framing that lets the history be seen and enjoyed.
We used box framing to give each cap space, keeping them protected while still making the actual objects the stars of the show. The plaques are included in the design too, because when you’re framing sporting memorabilia, the little details are often what tell the biggest stories.

And here's a thought as we start heading towards Christmas... 🎄

If you've got Dad's old cap, Grandad's footy jersey, Mum's medals or that piece of sporting memorabilia that's been sitting in a box for years — this could be the year it comes out of the cupboard.

A pretty bloody good Christmas present if you ask us.

At Frame Effect in Orange NSW, we specialise in custom framing, memorabilia framing, sports memorabilia framing, object framing and keepsake framing — including the stuff that doesn't fit neatly into a standard frame.

Got something with a story? Bring it in.

SOME THINGS ARE TOO GOOD FOR THE FRIDGE
We’re pretty sure the fridge door has been holding onto kids’ artwork for long enough. 😂
This was such a lovely custom framing job - a whole collection of kids’ drawings - 3 siblings in fact - paintings, scribbles and little masterpieces, brought together into one seriously fun piece of children’s artwork framing.
Each piece was photographed and reprinted to a much smaller size 😉
Rather than framing each one separately, we created one big custom picture frame with a clean white mount, giving every little artwork its own space while keeping the whole collection together.

And honestly, this is such a great idea for Christmas. 🎄

Have a house full of grandparents, aunties, uncles or parents who are impossible to buy for? Give them something that actually means something - a collection of the kids’ artwork, beautifully framed and ready for the wall.

At Frame Effect in Orange NSW, we do custom framing, picture framing, children's artwork framing and family keepsake framing and we LOVE turning the everyday stuff into something worth keeping.

Because the fridge is temporary. The frame is forever. ❤️

✨ OLD-SCHOOL GLAMOUR, WITH A NEW HOME
There’s just something about a hand-painted vintage piece that you can’t replicate with something fresh off the printer.

This gorgeous artwork came into Frame Effect ready for a little custom framing love, and we think the gold frame was absolutely the right call.
The soft, muted tones of the painting, the elegant figures and that very old-school glamour called for something classic so we kept the picture framing understated, with a warm gold frame and a subtle double mount detail around the artwork.

Nothing too fussy. Nothing trying to steal the show. Just a frame that feels like it belongs with the piece.

And this is exactly why we love vintage art framing. Sometimes the artwork already has a story - you just need to give it the right place to tell it.

At Frame Effect in Orange NSW, we frame everything from original art and vintage pieces to photographs, memorabilia and the wonderfully weird.

Got something old, beautiful or a little bit special? Bring it in.

🐑 EVERY FLOCK HAS ONE...

And we reckon this little black sheep deserved a frame all of its own.

This beautiful sheep painting has such a moody, atmospheric feel, so we went with an ornate, dark custom picture frame to lean into it rather than trying to make it something it’s not.
The soft warm grey mount gives the image a bit of breathing room, while the detailed frame adds that old-world, slightly gothic feel.
And honestly? It suits the black sheep perfectly.
Because custom framing isn't just about matching colours. It's about looking at the artwork as a whole and finding a frame that brings out its personality.

Got a piece that doesn't quite fit the mould?
Perfect. Neither do we. 😉
