❄️ Winter Cellar Door Hours ❄️

From 1 June, Colmar Estate will be moving to winter trading hours at the cellar door.

🍷 Thursday & Friday: 11am – 4pm
🍷 Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 5pm

While our cellar door will be closed Monday to Wednesday during winter, we’re still happy to welcome guests by appointment. To arrange a private tasting, please call Bill on 0419 977 270.

Please note: we will also be open for the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday 8 June.

We look forward to welcoming you to the vineyard this winter.

Happy World Chardonnay Day! This grape grows beautifully on our high altitude site.

Our 2022 Block 1 Chardonnay is richer and more generous in style, picked later for extra weight and texture, with ripe white peach flavours.

The 2022 Block 2 Chardonnay leans a little more elegant and refined, picked earlier to retain bright natural acidity and beautiful citrus-driven freshness.

Different personalities, equally delicious.

And we have some beautiful Chardonnays in the pipeline… stay tuned!

On the blog today, Bill takes you on malbec's journey to greatness. Originally from Bordeaux, malbec’s reputation declined after phylloxera when high-yield clones were replanted at the expense of quality. It found new greatness in Argentina, where high-altitude vineyards and a focus on premium winemaking have restored malbec as a world-class star.

Why should you care? Because Colmar Estate has just harvested its first crop of malbec, with the clones sourced from Argentina! Do you think Bill is excited?

WOW what a big few weeks (months?) it’s been at Colmar Estate. We’ve poured our Brut Rose Sparkling at the Sampson St Long Lunch, met so many of you at the FOOD Week Night Markets and hosted 80 fabulous fans at the vineyard for lunch - all while also handpicking every single grape 😂 Bill would like a rest soon, please!
