What will we be pouring at Winter Cellar Door?

On Sunday 5 July we’ll be at Carriageworks with a carefully chosen selection from Colmar Estate.

We are pouring 3 expressions of riesling, a grape variety that grows beautifully on our high altitude site. We have a rosé sparkling riesling, a light and crisp riesling, and an off-dry riesling blend. We also have 2 pinots - the first is bright, fresh and juicy and the second is more elegant, robust and spicy.

Come taste, ask questions, and take home a bottle (or two).

Today we’re releasing our very first Syrah, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Some said growing Syrah at 980m altitude was a little too ambitious… but after the incredible 2024 vintage, we think the results speak for themselves.

This is cool climate Syrah at its finest - refined, elegant and seriously delicious. If you love reds with freshness and finesse (and not the big, heavy style), this one’s for you.

❄️ Winter Cellar Door Hours ❄️

From 1 June, Colmar Estate will be moving to winter trading hours at the cellar door.

🍷 Thursday & Friday: 11am – 4pm
🍷 Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 5pm

While our cellar door will be closed Monday to Wednesday during winter, we’re still happy to welcome guests by appointment. To arrange a private tasting, please call Bill on 0419 977 270.

Please note: we will also be open for the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday 8 June.

We look forward to welcoming you to the vineyard this winter.

Happy World Chardonnay Day! This grape grows beautifully on our high altitude site.

Our 2022 Block 1 Chardonnay is richer and more generous in style, picked later for extra weight and texture, with ripe white peach flavours.

The 2022 Block 2 Chardonnay leans a little more elegant and refined, picked earlier to retain bright natural acidity and beautiful citrus-driven freshness.

Different personalities, equally delicious.

And we have some beautiful Chardonnays in the pipeline… stay tuned!
