Honouring Culture and New Beginnings:

This week, Geo Oceans hosted a Smoking Ceremony to mark the opening of our new facilities. We were privileged to have Len from Moodjar join us to conduct this meaningful ceremony and share their cultural traditions.

This event deepened our appreciation for First Nations culture and reinforced our commitment to fostering inclusivity and respect within our workplace.

Thank you to the Moodjar team for guiding us through this special experience and helping us start this new chapter in the right way - with reflection, gratitude, and connection.

**ROV Jetty Inspection**

Geo Oceans have recently demobilised from a large jetty inspection scope in Papua New Guinea. The project included subsea Visual Inspections, Marine Growth removal, CP and UT measurements across the loading platform, approach trestle & substation structures on the export terminal. This project benefited from our high fidelity camera systems enabling good inspection data despite often poor visibility conditions, which are perfect for turbid water such as jetties and terminals.

*Seamless Marine Growth Removal & ROV Deployment: Supporting Sonomatic with FMD Inspection*

As part of a larger ROV jacket inspection campaign, Geo Oceans recently collaborated with Sonomatic to deliver a complex FMD (Flooded Member Detection) inspection on caissons using a corrosion mapping method. The inspection was delivered from the platform at -67m. Our team removed marine growth from approximately 180 degrees of the caisson surface, ensuring optimal conditions for Sonomatic’s inspection.

Deploying Sonomatic's Stingray subsea automated scanner using our platform deployed ROV methods delivered an efficient, platform-based operation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data collection.

The inspection involved multiple channels and collection gates strategically positioned to detect responses from the internal J-Tube outer diameters, critical in identifying potential flooding. These gates also provided an extensive corrosion map of the caisson wall thickness, enhancing the data analysis.

In collaboration with Sonomatic, Geo Oceans continues to provide innovative and efficient subsea inspection solutions that enhance the safety and performance of offshore assets.

Debris AUV Survey

Geo Oceans was engaged to conduct a comprehensive pipeline inspection survey using its Iver 3 AUVs.

Survey Scope:

- AUV Geophysical Acoustic survey across 115km of pipelines, utilizing a 3-pass survey methodology to identify free spans, debris, and seabed features.
- 500m x 500m debris survey to identify debris, existing infrastructure, and seabed levels.
- Operations between 55m and 2m water depths in high current conditions.
- Utilization of 2 x L3 Harris Iver3 AUVs back-to-back, minimizing operational downtime and completing 505km of survey over 17 incident-free days.
- Three-person team with data QA/QC onboard.
- Half-day mobilization and demobilization.
- Processing of SSS and bathymetric data to create SSS event listings, SSS contact reports, SSS mosaics, SSS and bathymetric charts, XYZ bathymetric surface, and 5-point listing.
- Production of Operational, Pipeline Data, and Debris Data reports.
- Remote satellite data uplink during the survey to a cloud server to commence bathymetric processing.

This project underscores Geo Oceans' commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe survey operations.

**Rio Tinto: Parker Point Jetty Project Update**

Excited to share Geo Oceans' recent works at Parker Point Jetty for Rio Tinto's Wharf and Dolphins Life Extension Project!

Teaming up with Vertech Group and AUAV, we've achieved something truly special. We deployed ROVs for subsea inspection of jetty piles and an IVER3 Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to perform a seabed debris clearance survey. Vertech Group's Rope Access crew handled above water CVI and NDT work on the wharf, while AUAV helped create a cutting-edge 3D photogrammetry model for Rio Tinto.

This collaboration showcases our dedication to multidisciplined collaboration, innovation and excellence. We are proud of our team and the groundbreaking solutions delivered by the broader group. Here's to more success and innovation ahead!
