I've been very lucky to play in and help to build on this little South Stradbroke Island edible garden lately 🙌
With loads of razor clams and gorgeous peices of weather beaten branches washing up on the beach, we got creative with name tags, borders and lots more 😍

The foundation of the soil here is almost pure sand, so presents a significant challenge for growing food. Nevertheless over time, with layers of diverse organic goodness plus lots of experimenting to see what works, it's beginning to thrive and expand across the yard! 💚🌱🌴

This mornings garden art project at Mudjimba Community Garden 👉 Upcycling a broken old dumped wheelbarrow into this gorgeous little flower garden⚘️♻️🥰 The kids then got to try some of the community gardens beautiful bananas we cut down just last week, yummo! 😋🍌

So wonderful to see this gorgeous bunch of local kids at Mudjimba Community Garden having fun in nature and learning about growing food, reducing waste & protecting our native wildlife 🙌
For our first Nature Kids Session these little legends....👇
🌱Made an epic frog hotel from donated and recycled materials 🐸
🌱Planted sunflowers & cucumbers - some for the garden with recycled labels, some to take home in recycled decorated pots ♻️
🌱Got busy feeding and playing with the worms in the compost/soil factory/worm farmery 🪱
🌱Made beautiful Garden Art🎨
🌱Touched, smelled, tasted, discovered and explored the garden & the surrounding natural spaces 👌
