Concept design from a couple of years ago for a private residence in Jerusalem — grounded in the use of locally sourced Jerusalem stone, layered with refined contemporary detailing.

Carved masonry forms, deep reveals and arched openings draw from the city’s heritage fabric, while expansive glazing, bronze-toned elements and carefully resolved interiors introduce a contemporary spatial language.

Respectful to, but not constrained by the site’s heritage

It has been 3 days and I am still struggling to put my thoughts into words

Immense sadness for the victims and their families, who only wanted to celebrate a joyous Jewish festival with their families.

Sadness for the inevitable loss of Jewish life in this once tolerant country which has become morally confused.

Anger, at this weak excuse of a government who have not only failed their most basic duty, but are still playing politics with our lives rather than name and tackle the issue head on.

Anger at the fact that this massacre of Jews was all too predictable to those of us with any understanding of history and the dynamics at play.

For 2 years we have been pleading for people to speak up against the constant vilification, blood libels, the complete siege of anything Jewish under the guise of social justice and jumping on the bandwagon of a fashionable cause that they know so little about.

Yes we appreciate the private messages of support. I must ask, where were you when our synagogues were firebombed, our kids’ schools attacked, our neighbourhoods graffitied and firebombed, the 700% uptick in antisemitism over one year alone.

And more importantly, will you speak up now, loudly?

Not just for the sake of our vulnerable Jewish community, but for the sake of this country that we call home. Before it is too late.
