Today, on National Sorry Day, we pause to acknowledge the strength, resilience and enduring cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We remember the pain and lasting impact caused by the forced removal of children from their families, communities and Country, and we honour the Stolen Generations, their families, and those who continue to carry these stories today.

Sorry Day is a time for reflection, listening and learning, and for recognising the importance of truth, healing and reconciliation.
