Bookings are NOW OPEN for our next online event.

NDAN is proud to present a panel discussion talking through the different offerings around restoration, conservation and natural burial. This is a rapidly growing space and increasingly more and more cemeteries are turning to natural and eco friendly approaches to both lessen their footprint and meet the growing community demand to do things differently.

Experts from around Australia will come together to talk about the differences in these approaches, what they are offering and why.

Represented here is, Fiona from Walaawani Way (NSW), Heidi from Yacca Creek (SA), Joe (Founder of the Green Burial Council USA) and Frank de Groot from Geelong Cemeteries Trust (GCT).

Have you organised a funeral in the past 6 - 24 months?

Researchers from La Trobe University and UNSW are inviting people in Australia over the age of 18 to take part in a survey about funerals and bereavement.

The survey takes 15 - 20 minutes, is voluntary and completely anonymous, and will help us understand how funeral practices shape people’s experiences of grief and bereavement.

To take part, click here: https://redcap.link/funeralsandbereavementpublicsurvey
You are also welcome to share this with family or friends who were involved in organising the funeral.

This study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of La Trobe University (Approval number HEC25463).

Please note that comments and private messages will not be monitored or responded to. For questions or more information, please contact the research team listed in the linked information.

A family-led ceremony and a full heart. Beautiful gathered faces - tender, open, warmed by the sun, and buffeted from the wind down in the natural amphitheatre created by the rocks. Then, a memorial. Created with enough love to wrap around and hold everyone.💙

NALAG is an Australian organisation that offers Grief and Bereavement support online - a forum that offers a chance to feel less isolated in the experience. I like that they say they're not out to 'fix' grief or rush through it. Registrations are now open.
Please share with anyone you know who might be quietly screaming on the inside.💔

A newly printed shroud flutters on the line.
A subtle scent of freshly foraged flowers.
A dance on the breeze to carry the soon-to-be-cocooned person onward.

Just as they wished. 💚

2026 is looking to offer up another year of global affairs overwhelm.

Stay buoyant. Create something new.

A new(ish), free service for people SA wide who might be challenged by all the expectations at this time of the year.
It's OK to feel whatever you feel and opt out if it's all too much. (Just tell those close whatever it is you need to do, so they don't worry 'cos they might).

You'll be back when you're ready. (You will).

And if you want to talk it out, or vent, or howl at the moon you might try these people.
