New tip for Power BI data model. Replace all implicit measures with calculated measures and place them all into the relevant fact table (s). Otherwise users will not get a good experience in connection to your model from Excel.
Key things to gain will be values are recognised in pivot tables and also users can double click cells in the pivot tables to drill through to transaction details.

Hi Power BI users. A recommendation for you. Do your Power Query ETL work as dataflows. Load your tables into a Star schema data model from these dataflows. This pattern will provide better reuse and simplifies your visualisation work. Enjoy 🙂
