NOW HIRING // Plant Mechanic - Fitter Go Organics // BOONANARRING WA // In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing fixed plant equipment and machinery as well as performing regular scheduled preventative maintenance and safety checks and supporting new equipment installations and project upgrades.

This is a full-time permanent position based at our organics facility in Boonanarring, WA. The roster is Monday to Friday, with 6:00am start times. Overtime and weekend work opportunities are available.

Our expanded Resource Recovery Facility in Brisbane’s Rocklea is officially open for business, adding medical and biosecurity waste processing (our first in Queensland), high-speed cardboard baling and an in-house heavy vehicle workshop. And there's room to grow as demand does.

Truck fans, this one's for you! Recently we became the first company to trial the Mercedes-Benz eEconic on Australian roads, running commercial waste collections around Brisbane.

A few specs for the enthusiasts:
🔋 Three battery packs, 300kWh usable capacity
⚙️ Electric motors in the drive axle, so no driveshaft
💪 Up to 400kW of drive output and 100km/h top speed
📍 Up to 150km range, with compaction
🔌 Recharges in as little as 2.5 hours on a 120kW charger

It's a 6x2 built to Australian mass and dimension rules, with a Superior Pak body. It also has a low two-step cab entry, panoramic windows and AEBS, which our drivers appreciate. Plus it's almost silent, so early-morning pickups are a lot quieter.

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Superior Pak and the local crew who put the eEconic through its paces. Next, we'll work through the data together and see what we learn.

Outgrown doesn't have to mean thrown out. Through Roundabout Canberra, pre-loved clothing, bedding and other children's essentials get a second life with families in need across the ACT and surrounding region, instead of ending up in landfill.

Eight years ago Roundabout supported around 350 babies and children. This year, they expect to support more than 6,000.

REMONDIS Australia's Canberra team is delighted to help by supplying clothing donation bins that will rotate through ACT schools, making it easy for school communities to pass on good-quality items their kids have outgrown.

A huge thank you to the students, staff and families getting behind it, including the Van Thuan House community at St John Paul II College at Nicholls, who are leading their school's drive – and kicking off this ACT-wide initiative.

Our part is simple: providing the bins and helping keep what can't be reused out of landfill. The real work belongs to Roundabout Canberra, and the schools. Job well done!

Our NSW Organics crew had the best day at the Living Smart Festival 2026 at Lake Macquarie today.

Elizabeth, Luke and Bob from REMONDIS's composting facility at Awaba chatted to curious locals about what happens to their food and garden organic waste. In case you're wondering: it's compost. Lovely, local compost for gardens, agriculture and landscaping.

Community compost giveaway days are coming up in November, with thanks to Lake Macquarie City Council. If you're a local, you'll be hearing more about this very soon.
