One sub makes $500k a month, another makes $5M. It isn't the trade.

The top operator reviews the risk before he signs, negotiates the terms, locks in his variations, recovers what he's owed, and turns every job into repeat work.

There are three levels of subcontractor, and most never get past the first.

Level 1 is the volume game: cheapest price, sign as-is, and one bad issue wipes the profit.

Level 2 is transitional: you know your way around a contract but you're inconsistent, so money still leaks.

Level 3 is the premium operator: picked for reputation, not price, negotiating terms, shortening payment cycles, recovering every variation.

At Level 3 the work comes from relationships, not tenders.

Want to become a Level 3 subcontractor? Comment "BOOK" for the guide that shows you exactly how.

Had a business breakdown with one of the subcontractors in the Boardroom.

Half his clients come back, which proves he does great work. But relying on referrals is a hard way to scale. So I taught him in detail how to build a system instead.

How I'd scale a subcontractor business from zero to seven figures in a year. Fewer jobs, better ones.

Win the right work and walk away when the price gets pushed too low. Fix the contract before you sign, locking in payment terms, variations and delays.

Run a proper kickoff so everyone's aligned from day one. Track every change as it happens instead of at month-end.

Then turn each job into repeat work so you're not rebidding every month.

Lock the terms in on fewer, better jobs, and the margin builds on its own.

Want to scale your subcontractor business to seven figures? Comment "BOOK" and I'll send you my guide for increasing your margins.
