The RMC Track & Civil team has wrapped up another package of works for our client at their Esperance Depot.

150 metres of re-ballasting and re-sleepering completed on site, lifting track performance and reliability for the operation.

It's a solid result and another sign of the trust our customers continue to place in RMC across Western Australia. McDonald Surveys also supported the project, providing survey and drone services.

Great work from the field teams for delivering safely and on schedule, and thanks to everyone who helped get this one over the line.

Seeing our people, both in the office and in the field, wearing the new co-branded GenusPlus Group & Railtrain shirts and PPE is a great reminder of the journey we're on.

While many of the activities related to our integration into Genus go unseen, moments like this show it in a tangible way, bringing together talented people, complementary capabilities and a shared commitment to excellence. Our brands each carry a strong history and identity, but our future is stronger as one team.

When roads cross rail, follow the signs.

This week we're backing Rail Safety Week 2026, a national push to cut fatalities and injuries at railway crossings.

The numbers speak for themselves. Between 2016 and 2025, Australia's heavy rail network recorded 813 fatalities and 867 injuries, an average of 14 a month. Collisions and near hits at crossings remain one of the biggest risks we face, with over 9,200 near misses recorded in that time.

The message is simple:

🔴 Red flashing lights? STOP.
🚧 STOP at the boom.
⏸ WAIT at the gate.
🚫 Don't queue on the crossing.

As people who work in and around rail every day, we understand these risks better than most. That's exactly why we've got a responsibility to lead by example, not just on the job, but with our families and communities too.

Take a moment this week to talk about rail safety with the people around you. It genuinely saves lives.
