We have been working tirelessly at DNA cases regarding adoption and we are thrilled to announce that we have found a birth mother! We sent out the letter last week and have been waiting in anticipation for the phone call. The adoptee was apprehensive as they were not sure if their birth family wanted to find them. But a few days ago we recieved that phone call we have been waiting for. Within a few short minutes of the phone call from the birth family, they were in tears. The birth family had been searching for the adoptee for years and were overjoyed to finally be reunited. We then spoke with the adoptee who was also in tears. All their fears had been quashed as they now knew that their birth family had been looking for them too. We are so glad that we could help bring them together and we wish them the best of luck with their happy reunion.

We couldn’t believe it, but then again, we are great at what we do!! After working tirelessly behind the scenes on a client’s DNA test, we finally found who we thought could be our client’s half-sister! This lady was more than willing to do a DNA test for us to confirm what we found.

Great news! A high DNA match has been found for our client whose mum was found in a shoe box in 1929. (well that is the story our clients mum told everyone while she was alive) This is a major breakthrough in the investigation and we are one step closer to identifying who our clients grandparents were and finding out what happened to them. It must have been a very hard decision to put your baby into a shoebox and leave for someone to find. We want to thank everyone who has shared information and offered support, including DNA testing when we have contacted them out of the blue. Your help has been instrumental in getting us to this point. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available. We are going to keep working to bring closure for our client. Something our clients mother was never able to do.

Happy Sunday all.
Sunday is the day that we normally sit back and reflect on all the good things that have happened during the week. It’s normally the day that we unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures in life like a freshly made cup of coffee. Today we are going out to our friend’s farm to cut up some more firewood. It is getting very cold here and temperatures are expected to be below 0c.

I did not write this - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read.
Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening.
Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Friday... and the month is already over... and the year is almost over... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends.
and we realize it's too late to go back...
So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time...
Let's keep looking for activities that we like...
Let's put some color in our grey...
Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.
And despite everything, we must continue to enjoy with serenity this time we have left. Let's try to eliminate the afters...
I'm doing it after...
I'll say after...
I'll think about it after...
We leave everything for later like ′′ after ′′ is ours.
Because what we don't understand is that:
Afterwards, the coffee gets cold...
afterwards, priorities change...
Afterwards, the charm is broken...
afterwards, health passes...
Afterwards, the kids grow up...
Afterwards parents get old...
Afterwards, promises are forgotten...
afterwards, the day becomes the night...
afterwards life ends...
And then it's often too late....
So... Let's leave nothing for later...
Because still waiting see you later, we can lose the best moments,
the best experiences,
best friends,
the best family...
The day is today... The moment is now...
We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone what needs to be done right away.

Happy Friday all.
We have been very quiet lately as we have had a lot going on these past 6 months. Hubby was involved in a car roll over 5 months ago(he is ok thank goodness), one of the kids had a slight accident that required surgery and lot and lots of follow up appointments!
Hopefully we are all over the worst of it and we can get back to doing what we love. Helping you all out.
