We're so proud to support the arrival of Foodbank WA in Leonora, through the Waalitj Foundation, and alongside Glencore Australia's Murrin Murrin Operation.
It was fantastic to see the community come together and to be part of such an important initiative that will make a real difference for people in Leonora.

We recently spent some time at the Inspiring Girls Careers Forum hosted by the The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia - CMEWA

This careers forum is a terrific way for the students to connect with industry leaders, take part in hands-on activities, try speed careering (fast-paced rotations where small groups of students can chat with professionals) and hear from guest speakers.

It was great to meet such smart and enthusiastic students who came armed with lots of questions and were keen to take part in the activities. Thanks for having us!

NAIDOC Week celebrations continued in Leonora this week with Subiaco Football Club Inc. running a series of NAIDOC Week football clinics.

Leonora District High School students laced up their boots and took to the field across two fun-filled days, developing their football skills, learning from WAFL players and, most importantly, enjoying plenty of laughs along the way.

The clinics formed part of Leonora's NAIDOC Week celebrations, which were held a little later than the official dates, and were made possible through Genesis Minerals' sponsorship of the event in partnership with the Subiaco Football Club.

From kicking goals to building confidence and teamwork, the sessions gave students the chance to connect through sport while spending time with players who shared their passion for the game.

We recently celebrated NAIDOC Week in Laverton and had a blast!

Working alongside the community through our partnership with the Laverton Cross Cultural Association, we joined the Mt Margaret Remote Community School students and the Laverton community on-Country to celebrate.

It was a day filled with opportunities to learn from local knowledge holders, including education about traditional bush foods, cooking on-Country, and a memorable cultural dance performance by one of Laverton’s respected Elders.

The week wrapped up with the Laverton netball and football carnival - congratulations to all involved.

As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC Week – 50 Years of Deadly, we’re proud to support opportunities that celebrate culture, strengthen community connections, and ensure knowledge continues to be shared with future generations.

Last month we held a photo competition at Mt Morgans where we asked our people to show us Mt Morgans through their eyes.

The competition had such a huge response, and the judges were overwhelmed by the calibre of entries.

Happy NAIDOC Week! This year's theme 50 Years of Deadly marks the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC and provides a meaningful opportunity for all of us to come together, listen, learn, and show respect.

Today in our Perth office we celebrated with a warm and moving Welcome to Country delivered by Jayden Boundry.

Over the coming few weeks, we're really excited to take part in the NAIDOC events planned across the Shire of Leonora and the Shire of Laverton.

Who said hi-vis was boring? Our Leonora teams are donning the pink hi-vis in exchange for a donation to National Breast Cancer Foundation, which raises vital funds for cancer research. So far, the team has raised $6000 - what an outstanding effort!

Family days are the best, and we recently welcomed our families to Leonora. ❤️

From learning more about mining, processing, safety, and history to an Emergency Response Team display, core yard and processing activities, there was something for everyone – what a day!

Family days give our loved ones the opportunity to see where we work and a sense of FIFO life.
