What a weekend for rugby league in WA.

Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd was proud to partner with Melbourne Storm as the Official Community Partner for their Indigenous Round match in Boorloo.

The partnership was about much more than footy. It was an opportunity to celebrate culture, bring our people together and create a special experience for the Gur Wirimalpa Dreamtime Warriors juniors, who took the field at half-time in front of a huge crowd.

We’re proud to use partnerships like this to showcase Indigenous excellence, strengthen community connections and create opportunities for Aboriginal young people.

As part of our long term partnership, Eastern Guruma is proud to have joined the West Coast Eagles for the 2026 SOAR Academy Cup in Port Hedland. The event brought together 100 girls from five local primary schools for a fantastic day of football, leadership and connection. A highlight was seeing six young Indigenous women from Hedland Senior High School step up to umpire and serve as role models for the younger participants.

A great example of what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared purpose.

This week our Perth team came together to celebrate the start of NAIDOC Week 2026. Was a privilege to have Unc Noel Nannup welcome us to Country and then spend time supporting our learning and reflection on the importance of culture, connection and community.

This year's artwork, Paralpi by Zaachariaha Fielding, celebrates movement, energy and continuity, honouring the stories of our ancestors while recognising the strength and creativity of future generations.

We also celebrated our NAIDOC themed Indigenous Employee of the Month, congrats Thomasisha (Mim) Wareham and thank you for your ongoing dedication and positive contribution to the Eastern Guruma team!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this important week. We look forward to continuing to recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements across our site based teams over the next few weeks.

🖤💛❤️

This week sees a new addition to Eastern Guruma's expanding owned plant and equipment fleet. We've taken delivery of our new beavertail trailer and truck combination which is on its way to site, marking another step forward in strengthening our operational capability.

The new setup will allow us to safely and efficiently transport equipment of up to 12 tonnes, reducing the need to utilise our larger float for smaller equipment relocations, improving efficiency across site while ensuring the right equipment is used for the right task.

Investments like this support safer work practices, increase productivity, and help our teams keep projects moving efficiently for our clients. We're looking forward to seeing it in action on site in the comming weeks.

Culture, language and connection to Country are at the heart of who we are.

Through our Cultural Mapping Project, Eastern Guruma is working to preserve and protect Muntulgura Guruma knowledge, stories, language and culturally significant sites for future generations. This important work helps ensure cultural knowledge is captured, respected and shared in a way that strengthens connection to Country and supports the continuation of cultural practices.

This video provides an insight into the Cultural Mapping Project, the importance of preserving cultural heritage, and the voices of those helping to safeguard this knowledge for generations to come.

We invite you to watch the video and learn more about this significant initiative.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

A great day at the Indigenous Business Lunch in Perth, where industry, government and Aboriginal business leaders came together to discuss opportunities for Indigenous businesses across Western Australia.

We were proud to see our Managing Director, Tania, take part in the panel discussion, sharing her insights and experiences.

Thank you to everyone involved in hosting the event and facilitating these important conversations. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these reforms can have for Indigenous businesses and communities.
