As part of our ongoing advocacy for refugees, migrants and the broader Australian community, Along with our community leaders we were pleased to meet with Hon. Matt Keogh MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Minister for Defence Personnel, and Federal Member for Burt, and Hon. Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs, Assistant Minister for International Education, and Federal Member for Bruce, together with senior representatives from the Department of Home Affairs in Perth.
The meeting provided an opportunity for a constructive discussion on humanitarian and partner visa pathways, settlement outcomes, workforce participation and practical ways government, employers and community organisations can work together to support newly arrived Australians.
At a time when migration and humanitarian entrants are often the subject of divisive public debate, it is important to remember that refugees are not a burden. Given the opportunity, they become taxpayers, business owners, skilled workers, health professionals, tradespeople and valued members of our communities. Their resilience, skills and determination strengthen Australia’s economy and enrich our society.

در ادامه تعهد ما برای حمایت از پناهندگان، مهاجران و جامعه، خوشحال بودیم که يك جا نماينده ها هاى جامعه ما، با آقای مت کیوگ (Matt Keogh MP)، وزیر امور کهنهسربازان و وزیر پرسونل دفاعی و نماینده حوزه بُرت، و آقای جولین هیل (Julian Hill MP)، معاون وزیر شهروندی، گمرک و امور چندفرهنگی، معاون وزیر آموزش بینالمللی و نماینده حوزه بروس، همراه با مسئولان ارشد وزارت امور داخله (Department of Home Affairs) در شهر پرت دیدار و گفتگو داشته باشیم.
در این نشست، درباره برنامههای ویزای بشردوستانه و ویزای همسر، اسکان موفق تازهواردان، فرصتهای کاری و اینکه چگونه دولت، کارفرمایان و نهادهای اجتماعی میتوانند در کنار هم از تازهواردان حمایت کنند، صحبتهای سازندهای انجام شد.
در این روزها که گاهی درباره مهاجران و پناهندگان صحبتهای منفی مطرح میشود، نباید فراموش کنیم که پناهندگان بار دوش جامعه نیستند. اگر فرصت مناسب برایشان فراهم شود، به نیروی کار، صاحبان تجارت، متخصصان، کارمندان بخش صحت، استادکاران و اعضای ارزشمند جامعه تبدیل میشوند. آنها با مهارت، تجربه و تلاش خود در رشد اقتصاد و پیشرفت استرالیا سهم مهمی دارند.
